Good morning all..Good to have you with us on this LORD's day and hope you receive a blessing from the Word of God..Had the opportunity today to go deer hunting and enjoy God's wonderful creation..This morning i was at the Juvenile Correction faclity and had the blessing of leading a young man to the Lord..pleas epray for this young man that he will stay out of trouble and serve the Lord..Also there are some on this board who are going through hard times and need our prayers..God does hear and answers prayer, we just have to wait sometimes on his timing..
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you this morning with humble hearts, thanking you for your wonderful love and mercy..We pray Lord for those in need and ask that your will be done.. And now Lord as we study thy Word, may our ears be opened that we might hear what you have to say to us and that we may be blessed for being here..These things we ask in Jesus name and for his sake,Amen..
Romans 3:10-20 KJV.
10As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17And the way of peace have they not known:
18There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
In our text today it starts off by telling us that all men who are not saved, there is none is righteous, none that understands, none that seeketh after God, and none that doeth good..And he goes on to say there are those whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.. And that there is no fear of God before their eyes. That is a picture of all us before we were saved..the bible says in Isa., "All of us are like sheep that have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way." we need to turn to God's way,Amen..The bible also says that,"There is a way that seems right unto man but the end thereof is death." Yes dear friends there will be a pay day some day and "The wages of sin is death, but praise God that verse goes on to say, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." All too often we want a little bit of this and little bit of that as we walk the path of life. Yet, either we are learning to walk by faith or we take these little bits and pieces and use them for where we want to be. You and I have got to realize that God will not be fooled by anything that we do that is not rooted in trusting Him and that if we are not walking by faith it is again dishonoring to God! We want to look good on the outside, but it is truly the inside that God looks at. He sees where have come from and He sees where we are headed. You and I need to learn that if we want to please God and honor Him in the way we live, then you and I must learn that walk of faith is the only way to do it.. Allow the Spirit of God to direct your path and He will make known to you what He desires and you will and can honor Him by the way you live..
Father thank you for allowing us to open your Word today and to glean from it those things that are needed in each heart..An Father if there is one here today that is lost and in need of Saviour, may this be the day they come to you..Today is the day of salvation for we don't know what tomorrow might bring..we love you and thank you for all you have done and what you are going to do..In Jesus name and for his sake i pray, Amen..
