Well, many people want to say the King James Bible is the "correct" bible. But think about the following:
1) No one talks in the King James language so that is why modern english translations must be used. If you really want the "true" language, learn Greek and Hebrew.
2) The King James Bible is a corrupt edition b/c he was gay. This is a fact recorded in history books and other places.
Dan, if King James was a sodomite, would you explain who your perversion is any better than his?. Since God declared that you were worthy of the same damnation as King James, please explain why you are better?????
In other words, why are you a better pervert, than King James????

I never said I was better. Just pointing out that some have said that current translations like the NIV, etc are corrupt and we should only read the KJ translation. Well, history proves that KJ was a homosexual and thus that version is corrupt. So, don't say to only ready the KJ version when it is just a corrput according to you BLsig.
What many KJV thumpers don't know is the original KJV is a far cry than what is out there to day. I know the earlier versions I couldn't even read. It was english of some sort.
The New Testament of the King James Version was translated from the Received Text (textus receptus), called so because most extant texts of the time were in agreement with it. The Old Testament of the King James Version is translated from the Masoretic Hebrew Text. Pieces they couldn't find where from the Latin Vulgate
Modern English Bibles such as the NASB and the ESVderive their authority from a completely different set of New Testament manuscripts (earlier Egyptian Minority Texts as opposed to the later Byzantine Majority Texts).
I believe these to be "more" correct than the KJV
Eventually five different editions of the King James Version were produced in 1611,1629, 1638, 1762, and 1769.
But I believe salvation can be understood with most of them. In other words, I don't believe someone is going to Hell because he reads the KJV, or another cause he reads the NIV. As with everything, its all whats in your heart. People love hard and fast rules, they want the law. They don't understand, all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ, and his blood is so powerful, it easily covers your sins.

ATT: LBR, He is Baaaack !

So since you are an admitted pervert, no better than a sodomite, why should your word be trusted over King James????
Bill, hate to say it man, but you are not making any sense. Did he say something about his word? He was just pointing to facts that many like to overlook.
Psalms 12:6-7 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them , O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
2 Tim 4:2-4 2 Preach the word; be instant in season; out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
The name on the cover doesnt matter, what does matter it was translated for books that came from manuscripts of the events and scriptures ofwhat took place. Of which there are over 5000 still remaining today. No other historical document evencomes close.
