The world around us is very evil. Why are there so many people that do these evil things? Also the saying why do bad things happen to good people. Is it so they can be closer to God? You just look at whats on TV and movies and alot of it is evil. I have watched some TV programs where people just sleep with different people I question why? Does the general public act like this well I dont know. Evil its every where.

You speak the truth, evil is everywhere. Satan rules over the earth, and people act like it. And sadly, they don't seem to care.
And yes, it really is like that. People these days, it seems, don't care who the go to bed with. And the idea of having regrets is foreign to them. They livefor the here and now. The future is never guaranteed, so they live for today, and let tomorrow take care of itself.

There are very few godly examples.Also the saying why do bad things happen to good people.David asked that question in the book of Psalms. God's answer was . paraphrased.."You haven't seen the end nor the whole picture." The Word says "That the way of the trasgressor is hard."Is it so they can be closer to God? Chuck the bible says that evil will only get worse as we go on? Wow thats scary. Is it a sign of the end of the world?
Has some way been found to quantify evil and determine that there is more of it now than at any time in the past? Also, when evaluating whether there is more evil today than in the past you have tolook at the qualitativeaspects of evilsuch as is the current problem of unmarried people sleeping togethermore, less or equally evil as the widespread acceptance of the instution of slavery as recently as the 19'th century? While there are certainly things to be concerned about, I think it is a terrible waste of time and energy to obsess about the imminent end of the world - whatever that means.

They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Amen and again Amen!!! You are so right C7. And, isn't it amazing that these verses were written almost 2000 years ago and they have started to come true in the last 50 years, but yet there are still people who will doubt the bible and Jesus.
