Default Confession of error/..and thanks to Sylvan.

Brothers,
When I am wrong..I am wrong. Afew days ago I recieved a beautiful PM from Sylvan about goingto church , accepting folks unconditionally. Then, I ran into a minister who basically says that Ihat I'm part of a remnant .No matter how sweetly this message is preached....God's will is not to divide us. He teaches quite teh opposite in telling us to let Him be the judge. I am deleting the post I posted and plan to start fellowshipping in a local church this Sunday after I get out of my deer stand.

"Mark those who cause divisions and advoid. " Dear brothers we are not supposed to look down our noses at other believers. This is not God..this is not love. This is a trap of pride."

I go back to work today. My New Years resolution is simple. ..
To love my neighbor as myself.

God bless.

Chuck, for all my bible studies, the more I learn the more that I learn that I don"™t know half as much as I think I do. Issues that once afforded me a big old soap box to look down from and judge folks over became focused back on me.

We all fall short.
God is more complicated and intellectually in-depth than we start off thinking.
It is amazing the number of folks that think they are smart enough to have God all figured out and think they are ready to explain all the deep thoughts of God to us.

Through all of that growing, and thinking you know it all, to finally starting to grow and knowing we really know very little. Two things will always remain. If you know and do these two things then you will have done the best.

Love God.
Love your fellow man as you love yourself.

The most learned bible scholar that doesn"™t do those two things is the biggest failure around.
The newest member to the flock that does those two things is as big of a success as any member of the flock.

Thanks

You mean he didn't try to correct your spelling and look up words in the dictionary to tell you he is superior than you? Good to know there is some good in the boy.

Hebrews 10:25
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another"”and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Glad to see you're going back to church.

Weird...I cant' find this man's reply that I promiced I would respond back to about advoiding and yet accepting the local church which is not up to par .

I can't find the post but I've got a break for a quick response. The comment is legit.
i've been dealing with this paradox for a long time. Fact, just this morning my wife said."I am dreading going to church this Sunday." My adviseto her.."Then don't go. "I am not dreading to go to church .I am going out of faith and obedience to the Lord. I will admit I compared all of the possible churches and then through much thought decided on the one in which I agree with most biblically For me..it would be a good Methodist ..which I planto attend. I've worked with this pastor before and we work very well together. The pastor was transferred to the next town and that was the reason I stopped attending.but now..I'm willing to make the drive.

There is no perfect church with a perfect doctrine. IMHO the Lord is more interested in our motives .

Chuck, that was McNeil back again. He's been removed again--evidently he can't take a hint.
