RE: Good to see ya Strut
We thought things were going well also, Shirley was feeling real good and has been since about thanksgiving, but she had some blood work done last Tuesday and we got a call Wednesday morning that all but one liver function test was really elevatedand they wanted her back in the hospital to see what was going on. Also she had been short of breath since Tuesday night. They found that one of the bile ducts was partially blocked by a couple of stones and other stuff, they got that fixed and then set in on finding out what the problem was with her breathing, they found that she had some fluid around the lungs and in the chest cavity for some reason, still not sure what caused it but one Dr things it was left over from the original transplant surgury, anyway they have 2 chest tubes draining it out now and will probably leave them in for another day or 2, Shirley seems to be doing pretty good, alot of pain from the tubes but they have her on a pump to where she can delivery her own pain medicine. Matthew and I are headed back to St Louis this morning, I may stay for a few days just depends on how Shirley is doing, I need to be here and work but Shirley and her well being comes first. God Bless you all and thanks for everything.
