Nice try Micheal, but that scripture in no way points to man's freewill as having anything to do with his salvation.
When we read it in context, we see that Paul is speaking about the "freewill" gifts, meaning actual money, and offerings, given by the Church in Macedonia........
2Cor 8:1-3
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
Do you know what is funny Micheal? Your pathetic attempt to try and prove that the "freewill" doctrine is not a lie only makes you look that much more foolish, and supports the Will of God even more.
Perhaps you should go back into the OT, and post the Scriptures about the "freewill" offerings given to the temple, and try to twist those into supporting the lie that your own will saves you.
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy
Care to address this Scripture Micheal, or will you pretend that it does not exist, like you have when I asked you to address the doxens of other Scriptures that point to Gods Sovereign Power.?
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
BL, never said it dealt with salvation. You said that no where in the bible does it say that man had free will.
You sit corrected.
And as far as answering you, as I said before ... I am still waiting for my answers, not copy and paste scriptures, but the answers to the questions. You have yet to address them.
But it really does not matter, because as I have tirelessly addressed to you, you have contradicted your own beliefs, and you cant say why... So just drop it, BL. You have attacked me and called me names, you have said I was of satan, you have said I called God a liar, but then you could not show me a quote. From what I have learned , that is not very Christian like BL..... But who am I to say , it is you that has the hotline to God, not me, for I am just a lowly sinner, saved by grace, and surviving with the understanding of a child.
Twist and twist and twist.... BL , I will be praying for you. Not that you need or want my prayers, but I do not do that for you anyway. I do it for something much more important than you.
Since it is the will of God that many would be saved then it is his will that most may be lost ?, according to your beliefs .
Not at all. It is the association, or kinship with Satan that leads a man to perish. When Jesus called the Jewish Pharisees "Children of the Devil", He did so because they were servants of satan, who would perish with satan.
Sorry to bump in, I have a question, BLsig are you saying that some people are going to heaven and there is nothing they can do about it and some people are going to hell and there is nothing they can do about it?
