well here it is the day before Christmas, the day we celebrate Jesus birth..during all the hub-bub, let's not forget what we are celebrating..
Father we thank you for the birth of your Son Jesus and may He be foremost in our minds as we enjoy this time..and Father i pray for Teresa that she will get a good report on these tests and Lord strengthen Bubba and give him understanding and peace in his heart that only you can give and we will thank you and love you in Jesus name amen..
11And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
12And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Matt.2:11-15
A little boy was kinda confused by all the gifts being exchanged on Christmas morning, for he had been taught in sunday school that it was Jesus birthday we celebrated..finally he asked his mother, Mommy when are going to give Jesus his presents? I thought it was his birthday..
It seems that we give gifts to everyone but the one whose birthday we celebrate..maybe we should ask ourselves, what are we going to give to him this Christmas? If you have never trusted in him as your Saviour why not put your trust in his death on the cross and be saved from your sins..that's what He wants from us..He siad I come to ssk and save the lost and that Whosoever shall call upon my name shall be saved..what a wonderful gift that would be.amen..
Then if you by faith know Christ as your saviour, the best thing you can give him is your body..Romans 12;1 says,
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
Our bodies are to used for God's purposes..because we have accepted the gift of salvation from him, it's only right that we should serve him..when we give ourselves that is the one gift that fits the occasion..That don't mean just on sunday, but everyday of the week..from now on, those of us who are Christians, let's show it in our walk and our talk..let's live our life that others might see what Jesus has done for us..
Father help us in our walk in life that we might be acceptable to you..give us confidence Lord to stand up for you whereever we might be..and at this Christmas time let us show our love to one another and give us the desire in our heart to tell the old old story that Jesus saves and we thank you in his precious and holy name, Amen..
Kneel at the cross,
Christ will meet you there,
Come while He waits for you;
List to His voice,
Leave with Him your care
And begin life anew.
Refrain
Kneel at the cross, (at the cross)
Leave (ev'ry care) ev'ry care;
Kneel at the cross (at the cross)
Jesus will meet you there. (meet you there)
Kneel at the cross,
There is room for all
Who would His glory share;
Bliss there awaits,
Harm can ne'er befall
Those who are anchored there.
Refrain
Kneel at the cross, (at the cross)
Leave (ev'ry care) ev'ry care;
Kneel at the cross (at the cross)
Jesus will meet you there. (meet you there)
Kneel at the cross
Give your idols up,
Look unto realms above;
Turn not away
To Life's sparkling cup,
Trust only in His love.
Refrain
Kneel at the cross, (at the cross)
Leave (ev'ry care) ev'ry care;
Kneel at the cross (at the cross)
Jesus will meet you there. (meet you there)[/align]__________________
