I know many of us have drank to much in our life. The Bible does say drunkness is wrong. The question is what is drunkness? It can depend on the person and what you drink. I believe we can drink as long we dont drink to basicallyget drunk. Even Jesus drank in the bible so there is no wrong. Life seems to clear when I have had a few to drink. Have I made some wrong moves drinking yes i have. At point is to much?

I think, when you become an embarrassment to yourself, and the people around you, because you are so drunk, that is going to far. Nothing wrong with knocking back a few cold ones, now and then, just don't drink enough to puke all over the place, and make yourself miserable.
1. If a student or another church member sees me buying it in a store they are let down {Offended } if you will. so I wouild try to hide it..
If I do that ..then something is wrong. I'm not buying that beer in faith and Romans 14 says whatsoever is not done in faith is sin. Sin separates me from God which causes me depression. Therefore . the beer is not worth it.
2.You may be encouraging someoneto start drinking who can not stop at 2 or 3 beers.
3. I don't need the extra carbs.
4.Drinking makes one get too relaxed..this is not a time to get too relaxed.Teh Bible says this is the time ot be sober for "Our enemy th edevil walketh around like a roroing lion seeeking whom he may devour."
5. It's much easier to surf the net for porn and watch bad TV when you have had a few cold ones.
6. The last time I had a "Couple of cold ones" someone very dear to me said an offensive remark about my wife. I had been working on my anger so I let it go..but I vowed at that moment to never touch another drink unless it is served at communion some where. The Bible says beer makes folks rowdy.
7, My dad died from cirrhosis of the liver. He drank a fifth of Calvert daily .
8. I'm not crazy about having drunks as friends.
9,A couple of beers always nearly always goes out for one more 6.
Shoot, the next time just by a 12 pack and save money.
10..While driving back for that 6 pack you get pulled over by a cop. You are just barely at the illegal stage. Oh no ...here in Florida you get a ride to the county jail. Oh no, they just passed a law that I can have my teacher certificate pulled.
Is a few beers worth all the above. You've got to be kidding me. Only a fool would be so stupid to take such risk.

The drunkenness of the Bible {Be not drunk with wine} is NOT speaking
of being drunk from fermented drinks. It is the ignorance of religous teachers that have allowed them to mis-understand this Scripture. The Scripture simply means that the True Believer will not be intoxicated by the false teaching of worldly religions, a form of spiritual drunkeness that fills the soul in excess. Not being filled with false teachings willallow room within them to be filled with the Spirit, of the Lord, rather than the spirits of the world, that lead the unsaved aroundin spiritual drunkeness.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

I was going to make a comment about how your ignorance of scripture has you so lead away from the truth that it's rediculous, but I think I've had a change of heart.
You aren't ignorant at all. You know EXACTLY what you are trying to do. You are here to decieve and to lie and to spread a false doctrine to lead God's people away from Him. You are doing exactly what the Lord said would happen in the last days. You are the false teacher that is trying to lead others astray.
You have already been exposed for what you are. Thankfully there are those here on this board that are mature enough Christians to see through your garbage and anti-Christian teachings and call you on them. I praise God for those people.
So I pray that those folks will continue to call you out on your filth spewing to protect those that are not mature in their walks yet so as to minimize or completely do away with your teachings.
I just hope that people out there realize that you aren't someone who is doing this ignorantly or doing this from a pure heart. You are doing this SPECIFICALLY with the purpose to hurt and destroy God's people and lead them away from Him.
And I pray that you continue to be exposed for what you are and that your lies will be stomped out by the Word of God and His people.
Now go ahead and go on your "martyr" tirade claiming you're the only one with the truth.
Now...to get to the original question.....the hebrew meaning of the word 'drunk' is this:
OT:7937
shakar (shaw-kar'); a primitive root; to become tipsy; in a qualified sense, to satiate with a stimulating drink
Also:
OT:7937
KJV - (be filled with) drink (abundantly), (be, make) drunk (-en), be merry. [Superlative of OT:8248.]
Now we move to this scripture:
Eph 5:18
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
The Greek definition of Drunk:
NT:3182
methusko (meth-oos'-ko); a prolonged (transitive) form of NT:3184; to intoxicate:
KJV - be drunk (-en).
And 3184:
NT:3184
methuo (meth-oo'-o); from another form of NT:3178; to drink to intoxication, i.e. get drunk:
KJV - drink well, make (be) drunk (-en).
And lastly 3178:
NT:3178
methe (meth'-ay); apparently a primary word; an intoxicant, i.e. (by implication) intoxication:
KJV - drunkenness.
So...it is VERY obvious to anyone who is not blinded by something....that the word drunk in both OT and NT isspeaking of being physically drunk by a type of intoxicating drink.

Pastor Steve, we've already disagreed on at least one issue, so let me take this opportunity to agree with you here. Yes indeed bill is a false prophet and the biggest mistake we can make is to even recognize him. There's not many here that will be taken in by his lies but we should be mindful of those that may not be rooted but are wanting to learn.
He's been coming on with differnet usernames after being banned over and over. His time is soon to be over permanatley tho and he won't be missed at all.

Ditto to what Leaf has said Pastor Steve. Nearly every topic thnkable has been discussed in detail. Bill is not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes. Most of us are pretty much ignoring his stuff. He's been kicked off many times .I guess it's impossible to kick him off. In around about way I really do like Bill. I work with the emotinal handicapped and have seen many Bills in my life. God has given me a heart for the Bills. Fact, I've adopted a Bill.
Most of us have no problem at all ignoring Bill's interpretation of scripture and yet all of us woul dgive Bill the shirt off our back in a heartbeat. We are called to LOVE ALL men. His misquotes are so obvious I don't even come back anymore..They are flat out silly. I mean to mess with Bill is like messing with a handicapped child and that is a sin.

I agree 100% Chuck. I guess there is just a part of me that is so afraid that a weekminded or spiritually immature Christian will come on here and be sucked in by his decieving words. I just pray that doesn't happen.
