Genesis 4:3-5 - "And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell."
In Hebrews 11:4, it says that Abel"™s sacrifice was by faith. "œFaithcomes by hearing the word of God, Romans 10:17. Based on that information, did God tell Cain and Abel what kind of sacrifice He expected?
1 John 3:10-12 , "In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother"™s righteous."
I've heard different interpretations. I'm at school so my study tools ar enot here but here is my answer.
No, I do not beleive it had to do with Abel using meat sacrifices and cain grain sacrifices BECAUSE God told Cain"If you will master that which lurketh at the door. then I will RECIEVE you ." So Cain had some heart issues that led to jealousy that led to murder.
