Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all. God has been good to us here in Florida as it is 78*and we had a good rain which was much needed..but God is good all the time isn't He? what a wonderul Saviour

Father thank you again for another opportunity to study thy Word and i pray it will be a blessing to our hearts..in Jesus precious name and for his sake i pray, Amen..

Let's read Hebrews chapter 8
1Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Let's take verse 12 as our text today, "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." I have heard many, and some on this board,say that they have sinned too much for God to forgive them..My friends God longs to forgive sinners and He doesn't want anyone to go to hell..many, many sermons have been preached to convince guilt ridden sinners that it is true..we have been told that God not only forgives us of our sin but He forgets tham..the bible says ,"He will cast them as far as the east is from the west and throw them in the deepest part of the ocean." you might say God forgets my sin, but what if He remembers? well read verse 12 again..He says I will remember no more..his saying i'll remember them no more is stronger than saying I'll forget them, don't ya think?
Do you worry that one day you will be punished for some sin you commited? Moses killed a man and he is in heaven today. David commited adultry and had Bathsheba's husband killed and he is in heaven today..Samson had several harlots and killed thousands yet he is in heaven today.
there is no sin you have comitted or will commit that God will not forgive if you will confess it and ask for forgiveness..."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;" 1 Corin.15:3 Christ died for all our sins..To enjoy the future, accept God's forgiveness for the past..
maybe you are reading this and have never asked Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour..if so, why don't you do it now..Jesus came down from heaven, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified and buried, He arose on the third day and ascended into heaven..that's the gospel, do you believe it? if you do repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into you life and save you..I promise you he will if you believe..

Father thank you again for all you do for us and and may we all draw closer to you..In Jesus name i pray, Amen..

The load of guilt and sin was heavy on my soul,
There wasn't a place to lay it down no one to lift my load;
But when I came to Jesus, these words I heard Him say,
Forgiven, forgotten, your sins are cast away.

Forgiven, forgotten, forever in the sea,
My sins are not remembered by the blood of Calvary;
No wonder that I'm happy, I can't forget the day,
Forgiven, Forgotten, forever cast away.

Old Satan came to me and this is what he said,
Your sins are not forgiven and the past is never dead;
I cried out to the Master and asked Him once again,
He answered, "Forgiven! I don't remember them".

Forgiven, forgotten, forever in the sea,
My sins are not remembered by the blood of Calvary;
No wonder that I'm happy, I can't forget the day,
Forgiven, Forgotten, forever cast away.

No wonder that I'm happy, I can't forget the day,
Forgiven, Forgotten, forever cast away.

I am so glad that He has forgotten my sins, for they were many and many were really bad. God has cast them into the sea of forgetfulness and I don't drag them up even to my own rememberance unless it's to show someone what He has done for me.

Thanks Bro Motor . . .I was waiting for this sundays sermonette.

Amen Wayne, Praise God. And lest we forget Christ died for all our sins, past, present and future. No strings attached.
