Update Isaac

Well Liz just called and gave me an update on her son (my stepson) Isaac. Isaac was stabbed 11 times rather than the six times we previously thought. It was six of those wounds that were of the most concern.
He was walking home from work in his own neighborhood when he was approached by 4 gang members from another neighborhood. He was asked if he had smokes, and he replied no. He was then asked if he had any drugs and he replied no. At that point they started stabbing him in the chest and he broke away, running from them (Isaac is maybe 5"2", 140lbs, 18yrs old). They pursued, stabbing him in the back several times and then knocked him to the ground and stabbed him some more.
After they left, he got up and walked to a store and asked for help and the police picked him up.
He is now recovering in the hospital under tight security. My wife says you have to have the correct password to give to even be able to get in to see him. The doctors are saying that he is lucky and should recover fully and should'nt have needs to go in and repair the kidney as it was just nicked.
Isaac has never known anything but the church and the church family. He was really involved in the youth group . .as is his older brothers. One brother is an up and coming apostolic evangelist. Isaac built and maintained the church web-site as well as did all the photography for the church.

Thanks for sharing Bro Mac. I can't imagine the fear that you and Liz had to endure. I know God has a great task for Isaac, this testimony is going to change many lives. We will continually keep him and of course your family in our prayers.

The wife and I have Issac on our prayer list and thinking of him and Sis Liz!

Brother, we kind of have the same problem with our 28yr old. He was a Youth Sunday School teacher for7yrsuntil he met his present girlfriend and quit going to church. He even quit Junior College and got a full time job to help her. We pray to the Lord every day to give him wisdom on his decisions.

Leaf..a prayer bracelet is going on my wrist as a reminder for Liz and Issac. That is horrible. God can reach him, for all things are possible with God.

Let us know of an address if we can send cards or flowers. God can use this horrific event for good. As Liz used to quote "And we that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are called according to his purpose."

Well we appreciate the prayers guys. Chuck, prayers will be more than enough, he's going to be moving pretty soon I imagine and I don't have the addy right now.
Between Liz and myself we have 5 boys 1 girl and two grand children. Plus I took in a boy(Jason) who was 14 and kept him until he joined the Marine Corps.
Theres Ruben, who is working and going to school to be an xray tech. Joshua, who is thru school and is getting into the ministry, Nathan, who was going to school but is on an adventure of finding himself

I agree Rev, I believe Isaac can be used mightily of God. I hope he survives himself to be in that position.

Mac, May God Bless you and Liz and the rest of the family, with patience and understanding in what is going on with your son..i will be fervently praying that he will allow the Sweet Holy Spirit to speak to his heart and that he, like Peter, will repent and be a great witness for God again..
