Romans 12:3-8

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Rom 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
Rom 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Rom 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Rom 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Rom 12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

In this passage, Paul spoke by the grace given to him ,namely, in virtue of his divine calling as an apostle. In doing so he himself became an example of his message. His inspired message to each individual believer is: we must be humble, recognizing that God is the author of everything we achieve spiritually. We must not value ourselves too highly, but we must think with sober judgment. We are to make this serious estimation in accordance with the faith God has given us. We have no cause for esteeming ourselves higher than others when we realize that God is the source of our faith and that God has given faith to everyone in the church.

Amen. Brother Paul was a prime example of how a True Child of God exhibited the fruits of salvation. He was always giving the credit of his Salvation to God, and not boasting upon his will, or deeds. He was quick to point out that his daily sins were of the flesh, and no matter how great they were, they could not seperate him from Jesus, and the Eternal Salvation that can never be lost.

His inspired message to each individual believer is: we must be humble, recognizing that God is the author of everything we achieve spiritually.

Amen, and if only all those who boast in their deeds, religous positions, lenth of being saved could grasp this.

We must not value ourselves too highly, but we must think with sober judgment.

A double Amen. If only the religous "leaders" today could be humble as Jesus, who taught at the feet of His Children, and who never Lorded over them from a pulpit, in a distinguishing outfit, or with a religous title.

We are to make this serious estimation in accordance with the faith God has given us.

A very key, and correctstatement...."The Faith God has given us". It is important to understand that man cannot have Faith, with The Holy Ghost giving Him Faith, for Jesus is our Faith.

We have no cause for esteeming ourselves higher than others when we realize that God is the source of our faith and that God has given faith to everyone in the church.

Amen again. Every True Believer scattered throughout the Churches are called to preach the Gospel to those coming to the knowledge of Jesus, and to sound the warning of the presence of Satan within the Churches. The ONLY way we can do this is through brokeness. An understanding that God will not measure us on fancy titles given to us by man created schools of higher learning, like "reverend". Nor will he measure us on how many days we attend a building some people call "the church".

God will measure us, by the Faith He gave us, that Faith being the Holy Ghost of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is that Faith that will allows us to shun the trap of religion, and all the prestige it brings. It is that Faith that will allow us to be True servants, who take the Gospel into the most dark places, where we will be in danger.

It is THAT FAITH that allows us to wake up everyday knowing that WE WILL NEVER BE JUDGED BY GOD, for our sins, PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE are blotted out, and will be REMEMBERED NO MORE!!!!!......It is the FAITH, it is JESUS CHRIST Who assures us we will NEVER loose our SALVATION...
