I have a jewish person in my family I was wondering what happens to people that dont believe in Jesus is their savior? What also happens if you never heard of Jesus. Also what about the people before Jesus?

Thats a hard question to answer from a humans perspective. But, according to the Bible, there is only one way to heaven and it is though Jesus Christ just like REV pointed out. So, if someone doesn't have to have Jesus Christ to go to heaven, the God's word can't be true and God has to appoligize to Jesus for sending him to die for "just some people." Either we believe what God said in the Bible as the total truth or we don't believe anything in the Bible. We can't pick and choose what we want to believe from the Bible.
So, the bottom line is it IS up to God to determine what will happen with their souls, but God did give us the answer for eternal life in heaven and that is only only only found in Jesus Christ. Not my words, but Gods.
Also, this is why we must always witness so everyone can hear and know about Jesus Christ.

In this chapter Paul looks at both the present and the future. As he looks at the present he sees a remnant of Jews who are saved (just a small number when compared with the total number). As he looks at the future he sees all Israel being saved. Note carefully the words that emphasize time:
1) PRESENT, showing that the Jews have a part in God"s present program: "Even so therefore AT THIS PRESENT TIME there is a remnant according to the election of grace" (Rom. 11:5). 2) FUTURE, showing that the Jews have a part in God"s future program: "All Israel SHALL BE (future tense) saved" (Rom. 11:26), and this will take place after the fullness of the Gentiles (11:25). It"s true that they have fallen, but their fall will be followed by their fullness (11:12). Their "casting away" (a different word from that of v.1) will be followed by their reception (11:15). Their being "broken off" God"s salvation tree will be followed by their being grafted in (11:17,19,21,24). God has committed Himself to the nation Israel by way of promises and covenants, and because of this the nation Israel is guaranteed a wonderful future, and God will never change His mind about this (11:28-29). Israel can count on it!

This is an incorrect statement, made to decieve people . While God does indeed say that "so all Israel shall be saved", However, in the same letter to the same Church in Rome, God also points out that " For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel. Here we see God clearly pointing outthat being a physical Jew, does notmake you a member of the True Israel. God is very clear to state in the following verse that "Neither because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children"
This Scripture supports the Scripture found in John's Gospel where Jesus calls the Jewish Pharisees , who are boasting in their kinship with Abraham, "Children of the Devil"
God's Word also declares that a man is not counted as a Jew outwardly, but rather by being a Jew inwardly. Simply put, Israel, the True Israel is the collection of True Believers in Jesus Christ, and has no bearing on being born a physical Jew. Satan has simply decieved many of the physical jewish people into thinking that they are guaranteed salvation by the fact that they were born Jewish
Remember, the Pharisees taught this very doctrine, and we see what Jesus called them.

Again, another attempted deception. The "remnant" of Israel is simply those among the 12 tribes who will be granted salvation by the Grace of God. This act is no different that Gods Choosing people out of all the different races to be saved.
Quote:
"All Israel SHALL BE (future tense) saved" (Rom. 11:26), and this will take place after the fullness of the Gentiles (11:25).
Again, a very craft attempt. Remember, Since Gos is clear that Israel, or being a Jew is a heart condition, and not a physical condition, it is only natural to see that when the last gentile , or non physical Jew is Saved, then all of Israel, which is simply another name for the Children of God, or what many call Christians will be saved.
It is Satan who trys to send messengers to the physical jewish people to decieve them into thinking that their salvation is secure by the fact that they are physically Jewish.
Since we True Believers understand that Salvation can only occur when a person is washed in the Blood of the Passover Lamb, Who is Jesus Christ, we can see the folley of such things.

More deception. The Scripture in 11th chapter Romans simply points to the fact that the Blood of Christ will rescue the remnant of Jewish People selected for salvation that were trapped under the law. It does not suggest that every single physical jewish person will be saved, for this would be a direct mocking of Scripture, and an accusation that Jesus is a liar.

The Nation of Israel is God's Church, His blessed People. It is not the physical nation of Israel. The Pharisees also taught that salvation was based upon being a physical Jew. Yet when Jesus suggested that a Roman soldier was a more faithful Jew, than all of them combined, they sought to destroy him.
While many wicked men may go to great lenths to boast in their nationality as the vehicle of their salvation, the True Believer understands that they are the True Israel, the True Spiritual Jews Who call on the Name of the Lion of Judah!
Bill,
With the scripture { You chose } yes ..you have a point. But you have failed to look at Romans 11. I won't post scripture references because you have proven that you have a very good knowledge of where verses are.
Ok ...in Romans 11 Paul makes it very clear that there is natural Israel { The natural branches} and us gentiles who were grafted in. In Acts we see James and the disciples preaching to the Jews and Paul taking his gospel to the gentiles.
After I visited Israel I was heart broken and wished I had been born a jew.
However ; Paul remindsd us as you also have that we are spiritual jews as well and we are from the tribe of Judah because we were born of Christ. Thanks be to God...and we are fellow citizens and heirs just as much as believing Jews..
But ; concerning prophecy and God's covenant promices to watch over the country of Israel...Alex is correct as far as the way I see scripture and as far as my spirit was picking things up in Israel. You can sense God's presence over there 24 / 7 in a very real way. And when the fulness or last gentile is saved God will open up the spiritual eyes of the jews .They will see whom they have pierced and I beleive weep for 90 days.
Deer Hunter I know this is contrary to the "tolerance" and "inclusiveness" that is being taught by many religious leaders now days but consider this;
Had any of the apostles rejected Jesus, would they have been saved? Would they have not been rejected by Jesus? If rejecting Jesus was cause for condemnation then, it most certainly is today.
You also ask about those who never heard of Jesus. The bible tells us that ALL people will be judged by their actions and words, both those that have heard as well as those who have not.
God is a just God and all will be judged justly, both those who have heard as well as those who have not.
If you had never heard of Jesus then most certainly you will not be judged for rejecting Jesus, because you couldn"t have rejected what you had never heard of. Your other actions will be the basis for God"s judgment of you.
If you have heard of Jesus and still reject him, then you will be rejected.
Simply put; Reject Jesus as God and you will have no part in Jesus" kingdom.
As an aside, willfully miss teach Jesus" word and you will have no part in Jesus" kingdom.
There are some preachers who want to perform same sex marriages in some churches and call it Holy. These people are also lost. It is not enough to just claim Jesus as your Lord and savior, it is also necessary to correctly put his words in effect.
There are those who claim to belong to Jesus who are lost.
"Narrow is the gate", that scripture is there for a reason.
Thanks

There are those who have tried to use a twisted argument that it would be better to not tell those who have never heard about Jesus of the need to accept Jesus. Their argument is that if you tell them about Jesus and they go on to reject Jesus then you have brought about their condemnation.
The flaw to that reasoning is that without contriteness for wrong doing (both for those who claim to besaved as well as those who never heard of Jesus) there is no forgiveness for that wrong doing.
That is what is meant by the scripture "he who leads his fellow man to the Lord covers a multitude of sins". Those lead to God now know what is pleasing to God and can become contrite for past wrong doings and there by not be judged for those wrong doings. A multitude of sins are now covered up and forgiven.
Thanks

We as mere mortals, with mental capacities so limited that it is embarassing, make things much more complicated than need be. Simply have faith in God. When God speaks, listen and don't argue. God will never lie to you, trust him. God said that the "grace of God that bringeth salvation" hath appeared to ALL MEN. He didn't say that you had anything to do with it, He will see to it that it happens. When He send his grace unto a man, it will teach him some things if it is accepted and received. Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present world. God said it appeared to men, not babies that cannot make a decision, but those who are able to know good and evil. To teach that some never some have never heard, declares that God isn't capable of appearing to anyone without our help. God doesn't need "our" help. He is able to do exceedingly, aboundantly, above all that we can ask, or think. God is no respecter of persons! God's grace appeared unto you, therefore because he is God, he can, and will, appear to others. God is not limited to certain places, races, ways or programs. God can and will do what is necessary to have his grace appear to one who is lost. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Remember, God is faithful who promised, who will also DO IT!! If one is lost, it is because of a choice he has made. It was not God's choice that he is lost. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Wouldn't we be teaching that God has lied unto us if we teach otherwise?
Wouldn't we be declaring that "calvary" was a failed excercise in futility if anyone died without having an appearance from the grace of God in his life?
Don't question and reason why, Or how God has failed in keeping his promise. Have faith and believe God to be TRUE in all his dealing with his creation.
