scared of death?

Are you scared of death? Me not really because I know I should go to a better place. What does scare me is all the things that I could miss on earth. Now I know shouldnt care much about earthy things. I have had a pretty good life so far. I am sure heaven is much better then what I have experienced here on earth. Also it makes you think you should make each day count.

The actual "dying" process--yeah, a little. I'd like to "go" quickly and painless. But, who knows?

The afterwards? NO. Not at all! I KNOW I'm going to a better place. Gonna spend eternity w/ my Lord and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST! Anyone can, if they want to.

Great questons my friend.You sound very much like the way I used to think when I was in my 20s. Am I scared of death??? heck yeah..so scared that I'm making sure my life is right with Christ. Fear can work for good. In Psalm 19 the Word says "The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever." Fear motivates me to want to walk in the love that cast out all fear, the love that is not ashamedto meet him, the love that fulfills all the law, the love that gives me confidence that whatsoever I ask I recieve because I keep his commandments , the love that I can KNOW that I am in Him. Fear can be a great motivator.

Since physical death is the final enemy that a True Child of God will face, it is natural for them to fear it. Since the Holy Ghost of Jesus Christ dwells within a sinful, and dying body, it is on natural that we should feel like we will miss our earthly trappings.

The Holy solace that we can have is that God's Word is True. Since God 's Word proclaims that not even death will seperate us from Him.....Romans 8:38-39, and since He says our Salvation was assured long before the Creation of the World we now live in; we who are obiedient to Him can go through this life knowing that our Salvation is not based upon our wanting it, or earning it, or by trying to will it, but rather it is based 100% on Gods Sovereign Election of us, from among the many unbeleivers.
