Hopefully, I won't get too many people jumping me for this, but no, it isn't, it is your basic human instincts, telling you what to do, but, whenever you have a feeling about right from wrong, then it is God.

What you are talking about is what changed my life for ever. Who honestly knows ...no one does . We Christians walk by faith. God is deeply involved with your thought life. To answer your question I'll give you my testimony that changed me life forever. Many have heard my testimony of seeing the Lord in a vision. in October of 1976. Well, that alone did not save me. Sure, I now believed there was a God but I was really HOOKED in the ways of the world and could not break the chains that had me bound.
Now the testimony that is related ot your question.
About 5 of us boys were out partying REAL HEAVY partying out in a Georgia swamp. I had no idea where I was at for the ring leader had driven us very far. Now ...the last time we got bliitzed out of our gord my face went flying into a windshield and I lost my 3 front teeth. ..after that I would never again be in a car with folks who were so stoned they couldn't see. And sure enough...after we were on cloud 54 ...they all said let's go back to the barricks. I was stationed at Fort Stewart, GA. THEN...that little voice you are talking about said." YOU ARE GOING TO DIE TODAY,YOUR GOING TO MEET A TELEPHONE POLE THIS TIME.
I said fellows ..I'm walking back. They tried hard to talk me in to going with them...but I was dead serious about not becoming a statistic. I only had a pack of Marlboros , matches and I was wearing denim shorts. I was barefooted. I walked about 50 yds down the dirt driveway...and great fear came upon me. I was very scared.,,and very high. I got on my knees and cried unto God..PLEASE HELP ME!! And this time the inner voice whispered through my own lips..WHY DO YOU GET YOURSELF INTO THESES FIXES AND THAN CALL ON ME? I was very still but realized when I did that the fear was gone..Then I whispered ..Why don't you follow me for one day and see what happens. I thought oh no this might be Satan reallly trying to mess me up this time.. The voice now in my head said " No you;ve been listening to Satan for 22 years ...try listening to me for 1 day..what have you got to lose?.Your lost anyway.
After much thought I said ok ..You need to become a 12 point back. They have 12 points because they are wise. Start running...and every voice that is not me block out. so I did I ran all day barefoot down a GA highway. When girls would whistle I'd make my face like flint and contiinue running.When there was a crossroads I listened to my inner voice. and go where he would lead.After about 3 hours or more of running the sun started setting and my high was leaving . I no longer need God as before. And...I knew where I was at.. Hinesville Ga ABOUT 3 MILES FROM THE FORT. I said thanks God and started on my way when..THREE bullies walked in back of me started calling me names. I was scared...and my inner voice said..I want you to go into that church across the street. so I went Then a nother voice comes on the scene..YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE You've commited too much sin ..So I stayed outside with my head in my hands. Everytime I thought about going in GREAT FEAR WOULD COME OVER ME. Then the other voice would say..GO IN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.There is always peace with that voice.and I did. When I went through the opened door there were 2 other doors. I saw a picture of Jesus with people goingto Heaven. I felt great peace and knew I wantedto follow Him the rest of my life. I got on my knees and asked himto forgive all my sins.Then... OH YEAH!!WHAT ABOUT THESE SINS AS SATAN REMINDED ME!! There were no windows in that place and a breeze went through that little corridor. AND I KNEW JESUS had forgiven me. Then I hear..Go through the next doors and into the sanctuary..and so I obeyed. Then a Methodist pastor { Who had been called because they saw me in the church} ASk if he could help me. He finished talkingto me about God and drove me back to the barricks. My army friends laughed and said I would be back to normal tomorrow. They mocked and ask me hard religious questions beforeI went to bed. The inner voice gave me the answers to ALL their questions. They were dumb founded and left me alone.WELL! Hear I am..and I never did go back to normal. I don't trust every voice I hear in my head but I'll tell you what..I do try to get real still and discern them. They can pan out to be just that..GOD. By the way...I immediately sought out others who had had similiar expereinces. God led me to some spirit filled Christians..and they are the ones who nurtured me and showed me Jesus theough their love and faith, God bless brother.. Your best... to be filled with God 's Word and then God uses scriptures to guide your path.. c7

Prior to this, only occasionally was someone named as a prophet. Abraham was a prophet and David was a prophet, but the typical believer was not given a prophetic office. They were to teach their children, but they were not mandated to go into all the world and preach the Gospel; that era had not begun.
Then God was ready to explode the Gospel into the whole world, and in order to do this, He qualified every believer, man, woman, and child, to be a prophet. A prophet is someone who prophesies the Word of God, which since the Bible was completed, is the Bible alone and in its entirety.
When Acts 2:17 was stated, the Bible had not yet been completed, and so some of these prophets might have received divine truth from a
dream, a vision, or an angel visitation, as it happened from time to time throughout the Old Testament era. When the Bible was completed, a few decades later, then the only source of divine truth was the written word, the Bible. Of course, it was a much bigger source of divine truth than had been offered to the people previously.
The big change is that every believer is commissioned and qualified to declare the Word of God to others. The believer is to be a witness. We might have dreams, everybody dreams, but we know today that it is absolutely not from God. God will not add to the words of His book; His revelation is complete. The Bible is His complete revelation. If we want to know something from God, the only place we are to look is in the Bible.
Throughout the New Testament era, Satan goes about as an angel of light. He is allowed to break the silence between the natural and the supernatural. Frequently, the way he captivates people and captures them in his false gospels is by giving them some kind of vision that looks like Christ has spoken to them or entered their dreams; it might look like they are on the wavelength with God Himself. God says in Revelation 22:18-19:
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
This ended the possibility of any more divine revelation, in a dream, a vision, a tongue, an angel visitation, or anything.
Man, I face these little voices all the time. I question whether God is trying to tell me not get on a plane or God is saying not to ride my harley one day. But here's the deal, I have learned. It you hear these messages out of fear, its not from God. If your scared, its not from God. If its a comforting feeling and convicts you into forgetting about your needs and worry about those of others, you bet its from God.
For instance, before I got married, I kept having these feelings, that I don't want to get married, and I was scared, and seeing all the negative things about my future wife. I asked the pastor about these feelings. And he layed it out for me, if a feeling cause fear, or panic, its never from God. But driving home one day mad at my future wife about something, I heard a voice saying, "take care of her cause one day, you will need her to take care of you".
Amen Big Country...I give thanks for all the pastors and missionairies who listened and obeyed that little voice. Each year of obedience the little voice becomes more clear .

Again, to suggest that one hears a "little voice" is to suggest that God is a liar, for it suggests that Gods Prophecy in the Bible is not complete, yet God Clearly says that it is. God Clearly states that the signs and wonders we see today are the workings of Satan, and not the Holy Ghost.....

There is no greater evidence of satans delusion than the false churches thatpractice grunting, tongues speaking, snake handling, dream interpretation, visions, and voice hearing.
Victims of such delusions suffer great anxiety, and fristration, as they constantly look for signs, wonders, and miracles from God to guide. Many flounder in despair, and go from denomination, to denomination in search of a physical "truth". However God States that the Only Miracle at Work today is the Miracle of Salvation, and the Only Voices Heard are the Words of God, found in the Scriptures.

I agree Chuck. When I first believed and became a Christian, I knew God was manovering me to something in life. But there was such Spiritual warfare going on. Satan was using my anxiety to try to talk me, and decieve me believing it was God talking to me. Anything that comes from our Great God is not fear, anxiety or desperation. Its hope and the understanding that we should give Glory to him no matter what.

really?...... so God can only talk to me thru the scriptures...? I don't think so.....but you're correct in your assessment of todays' churches,altho we were told that it would be like this in the end times. always remember that God uses the foolish to confound the wise...always has, always will

My Father inlawcalls it an unction in the spirit. You can tell we live in the sticks. But its true. I came across my adopted daughters this way. My mother inlaw is a social worker. My daughters birth mother had abandoned the girls one night to go out looking for drugs. My mother inlaw woke up from a heavy sleep and told my father inlaw, "we need to go get those babies, the Lord is telling me something is wrong." They went there, found the babies abandoned, and the house a partied out mess.

My mother inlaw woke up from a heavy sleep and told my father inlaw, "we need to go get those babies, the Lord is telling me something is wrong." They went there, found the babies abandoned, and the house a partied out mess.
