Default A Worthy Recommendation

Hey Guys,

I do not know if any of you are familiar with this or not, so I wanted to tell everyone, just in case.

I just wanted to give my recommendation, and 2 thumbs up , to a series called " The Visual Bible ". It is a vhs or dvd series of the New Testament Books of Matthew, Acts, and John, -- so far. They areactual movies of those books and follow the bible to a " T ". It shows the chapter and verse being depicted in the lower right of the screen.

A few years ago I bought the Matthew dvd and Acts vhs. I have enjoyed them so much, I just reordered those and the newest, thebook of John, all in dvd from ebay and received them today. These I will keep for my own viewing, and the first set I have been loaning out to people, friends, and / or family. Who ever wants to see them. Again, I cannot stress how wonderful and inspiring these movies are. The actors leave you smiling and feeling great if you are already a believer, and give you chill bumps and and a longing for more if you do not know the Lord.

I believe them to be a wonderful and tremendous way to introduce people to the Lord. They are also a great way of introducing kids to the word of God. They are available at a lot of Christian bookstores, or at Amazon.com, but the cheapest is from ebay.

Campus Crusade for Christ benefits from the sale of this DVD.
Don't be fooled by bootleg copies that may be cheaper and inferior.I only sellquality DVD's direct from the studio and production companies.
Please support a Christian Business. Thank you!

I hope you all have a chance to experience these dvd's, and if you cannot afford a set to view or loan out or whatever, and if I need to I will buy another set, and I can send them out to someone on this site, and then they can send them to the next person, and so on and so on. Until everyone who wants to see them , has.

If you have seen them, leave your thoughts here, if you haven't and cannot afford to get the dvd's you can PM me your address, and I'll get another set for everyone.

God Bless you all.

Default RE: A Worthy Recommendation

I've seen them. I really liked the one on Matthew. Jesus is presented as a very happy, intelligent, andloving person. That actor is great. He really nailed it. I used exerpts of it in a youth group class, they made fun of some of the scenes like Jesus' baptism, he comes up out of the water with his hands raised and a BIG smile on his face! But it could have been that way. I enjoyed the movie very much.

The Actsmovie was kinda a disappointment to me. They tried to please everybody instead of staying true to the text. The different baptisms are all done differently, some immersions, some sprinklings, some pouring. It was like they were trying to get every different idea in there instead of just doing it like the Bible says, immersion. Other than that it was o.k. Not as good as the Matthew movie though.

Thanks for bringing it up,
Trae
