Default Rejoice in the LORD

1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100 KJV.

We see that knowing and loving God is strung through out the whole
Bible. All too often we look to the New Testament to see how God loves
us, yet it is evident from the very beginning of the Word and carries
on to the very last verse in Revelations. You and I, if we are children
of His, have many opportunities that come before us during this
special time of year. For many, this time is one of dread and sadness.
Lost ones or just the time of year, with the overcast and cloudy days,
it is for us who know Him, a time to share of His Love and be open to
what God has for us. We have been given a great opportunity to be used
to share who God is and desires of His creation. Our Scripture above is
short, but packs a wallop with regard to how to honor and glorify God
by the way we live and react to those things which come into our lives.
For us as believers, we may have occasion before us to share His Love
and be his mouth, feet and hands here to a world that truly needs to
know God. Not just know ABOUT God, but KNOW Him and that is where we come in. By our praises during the good and bad, it shows others that
there is a light at the end of the tunnel, regardless of how dark it
may appear.
Have a great week and tell someone about Jesus..

You are right, we are often given an opportunity to act on the behalf of our Lord. We step forward and do His will or we turn away like Perter and deny we know Him. I have a dificult time acting on what I know I should and I always regret it afterwards. Recently I was given two opportunities to stand up for the Name of the Lord and I did manage to. It sure felt good and gave me strength to continue.

Amen Bro Motor . . .One of the hardest and most tragic things that has ever happened to me happened on Christmas night 1969. I remember thinking that christmas would never be the same again. But knowing that an all knowing loving Father has my life . . .and my families life in His hands and that all that happens while I'm in Him is to our greater good, has dried up the bitterness of that night and I again look forward to this celebration as my favorite time of the year. . . . . . .Plus our rut starts soon after. . .JK . .I hope.

Yes God is good isn't He? He's always there when we need him..Praise his precious name!!
Iike what David wrote in Psalm 40,
"I waited patientlyfor the Lord, and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry..He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the mirey clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings."
Oh my friends, what a wonderful Saviour..if we would but just wait on him and let himlight our path how much more joy and peace would fill our souls.. glory to God!!
God bless you and yours my brother in Christ and may He show you a biggun during thre rut..
