Default Question thats been eating at my heart*

Really there are some underlying experiences that are behind this post.
Suicide is unforgivable.
Now I had an ex-girlfriend who died from anorexia is that suicide??
Is it suicide if you die while driving drunk??
Is it suicide if you smoke cigarrettes?
Maybe there is a passage that can better help me but you can see where Im going.
I know suicide is intentionally taking your own life.
but what if you live riskfully? Live your life in such a way-your life could end from the price of "free will"?

[hr]

How does God feel about skydiving?
How does God feel about motorcycle racing?
How does God feel about crab fisherman?
And does He feel the same way about anorexia, cigarrette smoke, and drunk driving for they are all closely scaledreckless

It depends on the person's belief in God. Simple as that.

I don't remember reading in the bible where suicide is unforgivable. The only unforgivable sin is the sin of rejection of Jesus Christ as Lord and savior and Blaspemy of the Holy Spirit.

This is from an online bible topic section. It shows the scriptures about the only unforgivable sin.

Do all those who kill themselves go to Hell?
Some people believe that all who commit suicide go immediately to Hell. However, the Bible never says if this is the case. The Bible is silent on this issue.God probably did not address it in black in white for a good reason. If we knew that we would still go to Heaven if we killed ourselves, there would probably be a lot more suicides taking place than there already are. However, if we knew that all who killed themselves were automatically banished to Hell, no matter what their situation, it may be too much for the grief-stricken family and friends to bear. Murder and suicide are not unpardonable sins. The only unforgivable sins are rejecting Christ (Mark 16:16) and blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
(Mark 3:28-29 KJV) Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

All other sins can be forgiven. However, anyone contemplating suicide may be in danger of going to Hell, as their relationship with the Lord is not intact at that point. Those who would consider suicide may have a severed relationship with Christ and therefore they would enter the real Hell--which is worse than the hellish feelings they are experiencing at the moment.

It is so important to remember that God judges each of us individually, weighing all the factors of our lives, our beliefs and our motives. Each one of us is so intricate and complex, only God could really judge us in total truth, wisdom, and without favoritism. The most important truth of all, is that each one of us will stand before His throne and give account of our lives.

Could it be that one would consider that suicide is unforgivable due to the fact that the person committing it does not have a chance to ask for forgiveness? whitetailsoldier I am sorry to hear about your ex-girlfriend. I share in this tragedy. I had a 20 step sister who commited suicide when I was 16. It was my step mothers only child. Such a waste of a beautiful life.

Yes I understand your point complete. And, I had an uncle commite suicide as well as a friend from high school years ago. But, based on the bible, it is not the unforgivable sin. Hate to hear about your losses.

When you die from the consequences of living a dangerous lifestyle, I don't feel that is suicide. IMO, suicide is the intentional taking of your own life. While making bad choices like the ones you listed as an example can lead to your pre-mature demise, I doubt that most people doing these things are intentially trying to kill themselves.

Most of what you have mentioned is a Sin! It'a a Sin if you know it might take your life for doing it!

Rom.6:23
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

To my way of thinking, even tho I've often heard that suicide is unforgivable, I would have to say that a person that would commit sucide is not in their right mind. Not to mention that I would not speculate the judgment of anothers life lightly.
One friend in particular comes to mind who had a chemical imbalance and was given a medication that is now off the market. This medication put her in such a frame of mind that she was acting . . .unusual . .very depressed, and consequently committed suicide.
I don't know . . .I'm just glad to be judged by a righteous and merciful God rather than folk like myself. In Christ, not only do we have hope in relation to ourselves, but also in relation to our loved ones.
That said, the Word says thou shalt not kill. That would include ourselves. I would be in fear of judgement in considering that option.
