What does this verse mean ?

Mt. 6;33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Question...
What does it mean to "Seek the Kingdom of God?"
Wow..I just checked some responses on the net. There is a lot of writings on this subject and not any 2 of them are the same. I'm speaking of writers such as Charles Finney , Oswald Chambers and many others.

For me...Christ in the gospels displays quite simply what a Kingdom person looks like.
He prays and blesses his enemies.
His meat is to do the will of the father.
The Kingdom is the primary concern and everything else takes second fiddle.
He ministers to Samaritans, drunks, and anyone else that has needs.
All of these things are governed by a holy love for God the Father thus keeping the command to love thy neighbor as thyself.

The difference I've seen in my growing is...
Sometimes our love gets hindered by certain individuals BECAUSE our eyes are on earthly things.

When our focus is on God and being a Kingdom person we overcome by praying and blessing our enemies. A good example of this Kingdom of God attitude is seen in Stephen as he is being stoned and Christ on the cross.

Here lately I've been discouraged from working so hard in seeing deer and seeing none. My wife quoted me this verse the other day.
Col3:2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

On my way to my stand I thought heavily upon that verse and how it tied in with Mt. 6:33 ....I ask God what does it mean to Seek Your Kingdom. I turned to the Sermon on the mount and remembered Jesus saying the Kingdom of God is here as well as in the future. It's real simple. For me a Kingdom of God attitude is a What Would Jesus Do Attitude.

It's basically being consumed with God's love which carrys over into all og the other folks you meet. When you focus on this the deer hunting is not too big of a deal. It's also a great time to read and meditate upon God;s Word, admire His awesome handiwork and breathe the fresh air.

This is how I see THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Are you proud of the city you live in? Do you cheer for the home team when they play another cities team?

Are you proud and loyal to your State? If you go to another state do you defend your state if someone "dises" it?

Are you proud and loyal to your country? Do you sing the anthem and salute the flag? Do you cheer for the countries team in the Olympics ?

When you travel to another country do you feel a bit out of place, a stranger in a strange land? Do you get home sick for your "own" country and when you return home you feel better?

Do you realize that where ever you are you are in THE KINGDOM OF GOD? What ever city or state or country you are in, you are at home, in THE KINGDOM OF GOD. If you went to the moon there would be no need to be home sick cause you woukd still be where you really belong in THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Does that make any sense?

And you are correct. When i went to Israel there were many other tourist from all over the world. We would often stand in line together and although we spoke different languages .. our kingdom of God love united us. Sometimes we would sit quietly in a church and then a brother would feel moved to sing Amazing Grace in English...when he finished another group would sing in their own language.

i've been working on a gospel study of the Kingdom of God mind set preached and demonstrated by Christ Jesus ..here are a few I got this morning.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
5Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
