wasfeeling well enough to go out and hunt for a few hours in the mornings last week. passed on several does-seeing from 3 to 7 each morning. on thursday, i saw a deer moving in the brush at 75 yds. put the scope on it and saw horns, cranked it up to 16 power and saw 3 pts and maybe a brow tine. must have at least 3 on a side to be legal here. dropped the scope to the shoulder and shot. 1 shot from my 35 cal thompson center contender carbine, super 16 inch barrel with 4x16 14 inch scope. looks wicked with that monster mounted on it, but that was the only freed up scope i had when i mounted it. deer ran about 75 yds, and away from the road. had to drag him about 50 yds to the logging road, and that took me 20 mins. drag a few feet, then rest and pant and wheeze as i tried to get my breath. got him loaded by myself with help from the ladder rack on truck. hoist him up off rack then shove him onto tail gate. had called the deer camp and told them i had one down and to come and get me if i didn't show up in an hour. have been feeling so well after getting the 8 point that i told the wife i was gonna try for a 12 pointer!!

hope to have more pictures later, as long as i feel up to going. be safe and may God bless you all-Bill
