Need Help

Alright, now I'm changing this to a prayer request, could ya'll please pray for my friend, Bill Ingram, hes having a tough time with alcohol, and is about to give up, he has lost faith in God, and is in bad shape.

For inspiration, read Job. Job went through many trials and tribulations, but he knew God would take care of him, and did.

As far as questioning the existence of God, if there is no God, then what is there? Without God there is no right or wrong, no good or evil, no concious or morality. It's survival of the fittest, and we'd be no different than animals. Science cannot explain nature and how everything fits into and works with everything else. The human body itself is a miracle.

Consider the Bible itself is a miracle--written over a period of hundreds of years, by many different people, many who never met or even lived at the same time, yet it has no contradictions and a great deal of it has been proven historically accurate.

People argue and debate and discuss and disagree on parts of the Bible, but that in no way means it's wrong--man is wrong.

Thank you, its just so scary to see a man go downhill like this, I guess I wasn't questioning God's existence, I was questioning how a man could lose faith so easily.

Man is weak. Man tries to look for something or someone to blame for his problems on, even if they are obviously his own fault. God is strong, and can handle anything we lay on Him. The problem with a lot of folks is they don't take it to God.

God never promised us that life would be peaches and cream. Even His very own and only Son had a hard way to go when he was on this earth. We have to keep things in perspective--we're only here for a very short time, and looking at the big picture the very worst that can happen to us here is insignificant compared to what awaits those who are faithful to the end.

Do your best to encourage your friend, and definately pray for him. The final choice is his.
