A hunting blessing

My last night to hunt for a while was Tuesday night. I had seen several does a few small bucks but nothing that ever gave me a good shot. Earlier Tuesday morning I was sitting in my stand having a wonderful time in prayer and meditation with the Lord.That evening time was running out and I said out loud, "Lord just let me see abig doe that gives me a good shot withenough light to shoot it". Within 5 min a big ol' fat doe came out under my feeder. I made a good double lung shot andnow one of my does isat the processors. ThankYou Lord.

Glad you got your doe.

I went to the swamp yesterday and fertilized a grass patch. Liz and I have a stand together at the patch and we did some repairs to it plus cut some badly needed shooting lanes. Lots of sign in there.
Here at the house I replanted a grasspatch and noticed that I'll need to re-cover our stand here.
When I started looking for my Old Man climber I realized that I must have left it in the woods last yr. Took awhile to remember where that was but I finally found it unmolested and still in good repair.
Anyway, listening to you guys tell of your success . . .and my making a few preparations, I'm starting to get excited in anticipation of our own season opening.

That's good news dk and I'm glad to hear that God blessed you with the doe. He's been blessing a bunch of us on here and I'm just trying to kill one more big buck while I'm on vacation. Just like the last two years, we're setting new record high temps again right during the rut and all the deer are moving at night when it cools down a little.
