"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
this verse has been called by many great preachers as the gospel in a nutshell..A great man of God that i have personally herad preach, once held an 8 day rvival..his text for all eight nights was John 3:16..during that revival hundreds were saved and as many rededicated their lives..my dear friends, their is enough gospel in this one verse to save the world if they would if they would hear it and believe it..
God- He is the greatest lover of all mankind since He created the world..when we are fully aware of his great love toward us we need not to look at any other for the love that can fill the longings of our souls. I have often sid, if i had of realized how much God loved me years ago, how much more could i have done for the cause of Christ.
So Loved-This is love in the greatest degree and there is no other love that can than go beyond the depth, breadth, length, and height of his wonderful love for us..and my friend, when you begin to wonder if his love is sufficient for your problem, know that it is far beyond our comprehension.
The World-The greatest audience, yes even greater that TBN. Joel Osteen.He knows everyone since He created Adam and Eve..isn't it amazing that He can speak to the hearts of everyone at the same time..His Spirit covers all the world..
That He Gave-The greatest thing that ever happened in the history of the world was when God the Father, sent his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world..
His Only Begotten Son-The greatest gift, Jesus dying on the cross, being ressurrected from the grave so that all who believe in his name can have eternal life..yes there are many who believe on Jesus christ and are not saved but he says we are to believe in Jesus Christ..we must believe that He is the lord and Saviour..we must believe that he has the power to save us..so there's more to it than just believing there is a Jesus..
That Whosoever-I'm so glad he said whosoever, because that included me..I went down to the alter 64 years ago and got on my knees and repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into my life and be my lord and Master. and dear friend, he saved me and He will do the same for you, no matter what you have been or done in your life, He'll save you..
Believe In Him-The greatest tthing to gain eternal life and forgiveness from the penalty of our sins is but to believe..don't be like the demons who believe and tremble..let yur belief be a saving faith that admits you are a sinner and repent and turn to him for forgiveness..
Should Not Perish-The greatest promise.. only Jesus can offer assurance of salvation for those who put their trust and faith in him..when He promises you deliverance from hell and misery, he will always deliver no matter who you are or what youhave been..
But Have Eternal Life-When God gives you this gift there is no way you can lose it or have it taken away. Eternal life, our greatest possession..what a joy it was to know 64 years ago that i was just beginning my eternal life..He sauys "I will never leave you or forsake you Let's thank him and sing a song of joy,

Thank you lord for making me whole.
Thank you Lord for giving to me.

Brother Wayne, I sincerely believe that we have to do more than just be a believer! How many so call Christians are Followers and not Believers and others are Believers and not Follows? How many say Lord, Lord and never make it to the Heavenly Kingdom? This verse does not guarantee all to be in the Lambs Book Of Life!

"For God "He initiated this love for the world,that He Gave,willingly and unselfishly, a love so great I do'nt think we can fully comprehend, in "his only begotten Son" "that whosoever believeth in him" (Jesus) and lives for Jesus dayly and Jesus dwells in your heart and mind (You) will "not perish, but have everlasting life...A life so abundant so sufficient so plentiful and so,,and so ,,,,for ever unending, Eternal.

i rather like john 3:16,and i like it even more when john 3 :17-19 is also read with it. it just tell so much more of the story.and i never use john 3:16 un less i also read john 3:36

He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. 19Now this is the basis for judgment, that the light has come into the world but men have loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were wicked.

such a wonderful promise ,imagine there will be some that will never die,never having to see death .and many others that have died will live again, and they will never have to die again,all because of the promise found in john 3:16

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

He who ENDURES to the end, the same shall be saved....
just adding balance to the walk...a sobering reminder thatit's not all peaches and cream...hence this verse...
peaks and valleys IS the christian Walk... like the song says: I had to walk thru the valley, to stand upon the mountain of God (3rd Day)
I believe this.....and all the MORE reason to SING PRAISES TO His Glorious Name !!!
