Default My little girl....

Hi guys! Wanted to share a first with you all. My oldest daughter, Morgan, took her first deer last weekend. She proved to be very dedicated to the hunt, for a 7 year old, and when the opportunity presented itself, she made a near perfect double lung shot. The doe went about 20 feet and expired. I shed some proud tears tears that morning. I wish we would have had a digital camera to take some pictures with, so I could share those too. Unfortunately we had to settle for plain old film pictures, but they are already one of my most prized possessions.

Congrads on the enjoyment of being with your daughter for her 1st deer. I bet you will never forget that moment for as long as you live. For her to get her 1st deer at age 7 is wonderful, but to spend that father/daughter time during her 1st deer is priceless. Savor the moment b/c before you know it, she will be grown up.

LOL!
Sorry Chuck. Her "bow" is a small plastic recurve, shooting bullet head tipped arrows that aren't exchangebale.....practice blunts. I re-read the inital post, and it would lead one to think it was a bow kill, given the double lung comment. She's not quite ready for that yet.....give her a couple years.

This past weekend was the youth firearms season, here in MO. She took her doe at 65 yards with a ruger m77/22 chambered in a .22 hornet.
The hug we shared after she examined her kill was one of the best I've ever had.

OK When you said double lunged I thought archery..That's still very good. She's one ahead of me this year. I felt pretty closed to that when my son landed a 6 1/2 pound bass.last year.He had a sincere smile and his eyes were half dollar size. I hope you scan those pics and get them on here.I'd love to see it.
Take care brother,

Here's a picture. i'm also including some family deer as well....enjoy.

Morgan's first deer

Adam's '06 buck. Adam is my brother in law. His would have been a nice buck if he hadn't have ran into something a bit bigger.

Here's a nice buck hit in front of the Corps of Engineers office at Wappapello lake. Adam is a ranger there and helped the sherriff's deputy retrieve it.

Here's my doe from this rifle season..
