Just wanted to say hi Mac. When does your general gun start for white tail? Are ya ready?
My son Matt got his license this year. It will bea joy walking with him before daylight and putting him in my favorite spot. I really hope he gets something. I hope you do to. I got a few packages of venison left. I probably won't make the Missouri trip this year. Strut has had his plate full and my truck is starting to do the shakes when going 65.Think I better learn how to hunt public land.
Just thinking about ya,
C7

Chuck our general gun season opens the 18th with dogs. I don't dog hunt, but I will be still hunting either on my own place or on my sisters place in the swamp. Both are looking good and have been seeing lots of deer. I'm mostley a meat hunter and try to put a few does in the freezer right off to make meat. After that I kinda hold out for the horns but not at the expense of filling the freezer.
Enjoy hunting with your son . . .those are special times. Last couple of yrs Liz has taken to going with me and I have a couple of two person stands for those occasions. This year she wants to use the digi to record some of the deer sightings.
Good luck on your hunts, it seems that your getting a good lay of the land where you hunt and are willing to go deep. That gives you a leg up on the majority of the folk I see hunting public land (Desoto NF) here.

Neat..I wished my wife like ot hunt. This year she wants to use the digi to record some of the deer sightings. That is nice...I thought about buying me a nice telescopic digital as well
