Good news/bad news

The good news is, after I leave work this morning, I'm off for the next 22 days. I'll be AWAY from work and in the woods hunting.

The Bad news is, I've got a bad cold, it's pouring rain right now with 50mph winds later today and the temps - which were frosty and below normal all this week - are supposed to jump 20 degrees and be above normal for the foreseeable future! I have to replace the kitchen faucet (fun, fun, fun)[:@]and I had a traffic accident on the way home yesterday with a belligerent, little man who just about earned a broken jaw from me. Luckily for him, I was in uniform and can't afford to get arrested.

I've been bummed ever since that and with the things I have to get done at home, a bad weather forecast (for the 4th consecutive year) and being sick, I would really covet your prayers. It's a selfish request, I know, but I consider you guys among my friends (even those I argue with!).

Don't let the weather get you down Dave. Enjoy the time off. The weather should turn for you. You should come up here to Wi. Weather forcast is looking very good. I'll keep you in my prayers. I leave in 3 hours

I finally got ot go to my club friday and it was pouring there as well. Then we had high winds sat'day am, and it turned very warm sunday. I also had an accident going through Atlanta on the way friday. A guy just jerked his wheel suddenly and whacked my front right fender, and flre onmy Jeep CJ! was not happy. Then when th eofficer filled out the report, my insurance agent wrote down my VIN wrong by one letter, and my insurance showed up invalid, and I have to go to court to show the corrected record--in Atlanta! I know how you feel Dave! Not to mention the poacher that shot one of the bucks I've been bowhunting near myhome. Found it laying dead with a .22 bullet, right on the trail to my stand. It had been shot th enight before. A good 9![:@]
