Default Unknown Sin

We need not live in fear of condemnation for sin committed unknowingly. No sin is committed totally by accident. James 4:17 says that a knowing failure to do good is sin. This implies that in some cases we are not accountable for things left undone in ignorance; however, ignorance is no excuse when God"™s Word addresses an issue. We should pray for God to reveal the hidden things in our lives that are not pleasing to Him, and He will do so (Psalm 19:12-13; 139:23-24). If we will remain sensitive to the Spirit of God, He will teach us and convict us of sin (John 16:8, 13). We can have assurance of salvation. We can know with certainty that we are saved (Romans 8:14-16). We can also know with certainty that we will inherit eternal life if we continue to have faith in Christ and love for God (Romans 5:8-11; 8:28-39). As long as we abide in Christ, nothing can separate us from Him or cause us to lose salvation (John 15:1-10; Romans 8:35-39).

sin is missing Gods perfect mark that he has set for us...the illustration i like and im sure all the hunters out there will is the bullseye when shooting archery you miss the bullseye because that bullseye is Gods perfectness, we cant come close to that. the sin that we commit without knowing, which is due to our sinful nature is called 'iniquity'....the sin we do that we know is wrong and do it anyways, this is our 'transgression'--it is said i beleive in Daniel or Hosea about this.

Interesting thread. I've thought about this subject in the past. How can you be guilty of sinning when there was no indication that it was wrong. It brings up a related question. How about someone who has gone insane and killed another person. Obviously they did commit the act, but are they guilty of sinning when they weren't mentally able to know what they did was wrong?
