Default The Gospel of Jesus Christ by Dave Wilkerson

The Gospel of Jesus Christ
WMA
"”

Dave condemns most American churches in this message because

Todays churches fail to preach...
Repentance
Cross Bearing
and they make it a place where sinners feel comfortable...
as they are more interested in..

Getting folks home in time ot watch football
making sure sermons are under 30 minutes
have programs to keep people from getting offended
.
The altar is no longer a place for repentance but a place where folks can cast their "Vote for Jesus."
and the minister can add a person to their "numbers.'

Bro. Dave has that right! Our sermom starts at 10:30am and ends when the pastor has finished the sermon. It could be 1hr an 15mins or 2hrs or 2-1/2 hrs.

Hebrews:10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Amen to brother David. He has hit the nail on the head. Too many preachers are just tickling itching ears. I feel so sorry for them for one day we will all be held accountable to teaching the truth.

Them dang ole hogs they have a habit of moving don't they? I missed a big monster bruiser but he was about 70 yards away. I hit him in the antlers and broke and good arrow. But heck, it was fun .. I wanted one for my record books. No, I am not mad at anyone. I've been real busy making knives, hunting, and must leave for out of town next week.. Love ya bro, you know that.

Rev. wow you got the archery skills down. My goal this year is to shoot coffee mug groups at 30 yds. I'd be tickled pink.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Just got done talking with Chuck Renfrow. I read where you use flat files to make knife blades. I've made a couple of filleting knifes out of steak knives{ But not out of a file} That is a great idea. That is some hard metal. You must have a nice grinder.I've got a lot off files.I need to try that. Do you mill the metal down or grind it down??

I guess I get hung up on minor points. I like Dave Wilkerson and all, he has some good teachings. But I do take some exception to saying that "Todays churches fail to preach these things" . . .I don't believe that even "most" churches are that way. Being raised in the military, I think I have seen "generic" churches. In the 30 yrs since then I have had 4 landmark churches as my place of worship. Of the four only one resembled what David is pointing to to me. I may very well be fortunate in my church exoeriance or maybe its the region I'm from but these church's he's speaking of are the exception rather than the rule. Most of the churches today are a lighthouse to a lost world. Aplace where even the opinionated can run to in a time of need. I would'nt make the statement that most all churches are guilty of those things. Maybe the worlds just gone to hell in a hand basket I don't know it. I strongly believe in the Apostolic understanding but I hav'nt alsways been so. I know that among the Baptist, and Church of God I worshipped with, they took their beliefs and their church seriously.
