Default This is ridiculous

I"™ve been reading your post on the oneness and the trinity. Come on guys, it"™s like arguing over the speaking in tongues issue. Those who are UPC believe with all their hearts they are right, or they wouldn"™t be in that organization, while there are those in other denominations that believe the UPC people are a cult.

We have come together here as a group of guys that rarely agree completely on theology. But most of us agree that Jesus is Lord and Savior.
I have been reading the post, and see how we have ALL been slinging mud at each other, I wonder how many of us will be surprised when we step in glory and realize how wrong we were about so many things. If we are not building, then we are tearing apart. I am not siding with anyone, I know what I believe and what you believe is strictly your business. We're certainly are not going to make others want to joinour group with all the fussing and arguing, we sound like the rest of the world.

Rev,
It's what the people want..If you post scripture which Reb and I do alot..they rarely get touched. If it's controvercy it gathers many replies. Then someone says stop it folks.

TV is like that..we all know that sex and violence is wrong but how many Christians are gluedto that stuff ...

It's called hypocrisy. We are called to rejoice in truth and think upon those things are of good report but how often does God's Word go quickly to the bottom here and the controvercies stay on the top and become the hits. For many days alot of us ignored them...but after so many post it gets erritaiting and some of us are boundto chime in and defend our view. ..especially if we think it's harmful to new believers.

Some believe in learning to except others views..someare filled with zeal and begin flipping the tables. We are all different with different convictions. How tolerant are we to the Jehovah's Witnesses on here?? Should we be more tolerate of others and less on some??

Rev; I have no arguement with you and certainly don't want to start one. Just for the record, the oness-trinity arguement has ceased to be a theological debate and has become an issue of false allegations and statements made to discredit the oneness belief and those who adhere to its concepts, charges of,heresy, cult, false doctrine, ect. Falsestatements declaring what oneness followersbelieve. False statements about what one said ect. I am no longer debating, at this time, the scriptural teaching, I am asking for the proof to show exactly why those accusations were made. If their is any evidence to back them up, I will publicly repent to the board. If there is no proof coming forth, then we know the reason behind the things that have been said.

I know exactly what you're saying. Theological debates are healthy and I believe that is how Jesus taught in the temple. I don't know why we have to make accusations. We all have a way of getting our feelings hurt (including myself) when others do not agree with us, and take it personal.
When I first came to this forum, I said something about an exorcism, and not realizing it, some were mocking me, and poking fun at me for it.. That really hurt my feelings, because they didn't see what I had seen or had to battle. However, Reb and Chuck took me aside and warned me about them.. They are still here, I get along with them both, yet I don't agree with them at all!
Gosh, there are so many things we discuss I don't agree with because we interpret what we read so different. That is the reason there are so many dominations. I call myself non-denominational however that too is becoming a denomination. And your are so right, we need to back everything thing up with hard scriptural evidence. However the problem therefor lies in how we interpret it. Like I said before, one day when we are in glory, we are going to realize how ignorant we really were.
Thanks

I have been torn from organized religion on a number of occassions. Ive been involved with a few different denominations which showed an ugly side to Faith. I had given up on any organized religion until I started going to the church I do now. All the in fighting, name calling, and Christian snobbery was what caused me to leave three other churches. These Churches were not doing the Lords work. Or at the least, were not a good witness to me. Im now a member of the, Pew Hoppen, Holy Rolen, Pentecostal Church. I was reluctant to go, simply because of what I was taught through other denominations, as well as the snobbery I had been unnidated with towards the Pentecostal Church. My wife drug me along kicking and screaming. Im glad she did. I have seen a side to my Faith I never knew existed. I have grown spiritually more in the handfull of years Ive been attending this Church, than I did my whole life attending others. Im not saying my Church is better than anyone elses, just pointing out how a person can be turned from the Lords path with infighting, belittlement, as well as bickering.

I like to compare denominations with music. There areas many differentkinds of music as there are denominations. One just has to find one that they are happy with. Just because I love Jazz doesn't make you wrong because you like country music. If that makes any sense.

I agree Rev. I havn't posted on here hardly at all because every time I check in a new argument has been started. I just check to see if someone needs prayer and move on. Some no exactly how to push others buttons and start threads for just that reason. I wonder how many new brothers we might have met until they start reading alot of this crap.

I agree too brother. I've been staying away for the same reason. I was thinking about you the other day, I didn't know if the hogs ate you . Good to hear from you again. How's the hunting coming along this year?
