In light of all the differing theology posts here lately I can assuredly tell you I'm confused. And while I hate start or continue anything resembling an arguement (yes, even a friendly one) I was just on here reading a post (I can honestly say I've already forgotten which one) and something came to mind...
I have a father...I have a mother...
They are married and so we are told they are "one flesh". Now, I don't know if I have ever mistaken my father's "flesh" for my mother's. They have completely different and seperate bodies. And to say that my mother is the same person as my father is silly. They have different roles. They have different characteristics... Yet they are "one" by some miraculous work we cannot begin to understand or comprehend. Our society (well, the christian society at least) has no trouble seeing my parents as both completely unique and completely the "one". Their "oneness" is real and recognizeable. They function together, as a unit, and together accomplish...umm, life-in-general. Yet the fact that my mother is not my father is real and recognizeable. They are two distinct individuals. Anyone follow? They are "one" and they are "two".
Like I said, it's just food for thought and I don't know what side this supports or if it supports either/neither.
Basically I guess it's just late and I'm thinking/rambling outloud.
I'll probably delete this after a day or two just to keep it from becoming another volley of scriptures and ideas.
