1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Rev. 22:1-5 KJV.
People have many ideas what Heaven is going to be like but we don't really know all that it will be. here in our text this morning the Apostle John gives us a glimpse of what it will be like..if you remember the story, he was caught up into heaven, where he saw a pure river of water, crystal clear and the tree of life.. and he said in heaven there was no need for lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light..ah yes the wonderful glory of God will light up the heavens..words really fail to describe heaven.
John writes in the first chapter of John- Jesus speaking
" Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
in my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."
and then he goes on to write-
"3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
"And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? And Jesus answered the question that millions have asked.-
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by me."
Yes my friends, the world will tell you there are many roads to heaven but according to God's Word there is only one way, through Jesus Christ shed blood on calvary..What a wonderful Saviour..

Motor that chapter is no refering to Heaven but to Sion, the heavenly city the New Jerusalem which comes out the Heavens and into earth, it is our dwelling place with the Messiah forever in the New Earth.

I understand alex, about the New Jerusalem and i also understand that God's throne will be there and He will dwell with his people..so where ever God is I consider that Heaven..thank you
