I know their are various ways so I will explain my way and you folks can explain your way and leep can choose the one that applies to him best.
OPTION 1 On my old computer I did this ... 1. Scan picture. 2. Put picture in theMy Pictures part of My Documents.
A. Double click on the picture you want to post. { This will put you in paint.} B. Find the little icon of the mountain and sky called editdouble click C. I no longer have that type of computer but I believe you go to skew . you will see 100% 2 times by your picture.YOu need to change them numbers to 20% { You are simply downsizing your picture} D. Then, go to file and save and rename your picture. IMPORTANT right underneath the place where you renamed your picture scroll down and SAVE AS JPEG.
This process takes me about 30 seconds after it's saved to my pictures.
OPTION 2 Now ..I just bought a new HP Compact...if is different .When you double click on the picture you have the option of downsizing your photo for a web site. If that doesn't work you need to use the arrows and shrink your picture below 100 pixels. Always remember to save and rename your new picture. OPTION 3 On some digital cameras you can set your camera to the lowest setting and your pics will be ready. I used to do that until I realized if you want to send that picture to Walmart for prints..super poor quality. So I just shrink it in the paint section of my computer.
Good news. When my old computer crashed..which had a ton of pics on it I got some wisdom from a man at school. He said we can pull the hard drive out of it and stick it in my new computer as well { called a piggybaack} so I will have two harddrives. real simple he said 3 wires. There is space in pour computers for more than one harddrive.
Or he can e-mail me a pic at leafrivermac@hotmail.com if all else fails and I'll post his pics. Give me a heads up tho as I check my email only about twice a week.
