Default Sister Wilson

I don't know why exactly I want to say something about this old grandmother from my church. It's not like she is really that well known to me. She's prolly close to 85 yrs old . .still seems spry and active. I greet her at every service and shake her work hardened hand.
The only time she ever says anything during a service is when shes asked to do so or when she's requesting prayer for her family or someone she knows of that is lost or having a crisis of some kind.
I've noticed lately that when a service is really getting good and the word is really touching hearts that she quietly hums old ***** spirituals. She was doing this during the service this morning and I don't know why but it was really affecting me in some kind of deep way.
Maybe the Lord is wanting me to really pray for this old saint . . . . obviously tho she is a prayer warrior and the power of the Holy Ghost is much evident in her.
Maybe I just miss the old grandmothers in my life . . .I would give most any thing to sit at the feet of mine once again.

Lol Reb, that sounds like most of the folk in our church. This is an old white lady who seems to be quietly humming to herself and prolly can't be heard over a pew away.

I am kind of vocal aslo, but not as much asthem. IMO, A pastor should never have to ask for an Amen from the congregation!

I have to admit that I'm not very vocal by most standards. I'm really a reserved type of person . . . .there are times tho when the Holy Spirit gets ahold of you that you have to shout!!!
