Default My Father's condition...

He is now imminently at death's door. It is both sad and good at the same time. I wondered out loud to the Lord as to why He allowed him to remain with us as he has, only to see him go on to be wth Him, in this fashion. Th eanswer was that He allowed it for our sakes--to give us teh privilege of serving my Father by serving my father! We, as a family have gathered around toclean him, to bathe him, to dress his wounds, to feed him, and to hold his hand, while he was helpless to do more than to just say thanks for coming! Isn't this the essnce of what it is all about--service? It is trying yet, so very beautiful to watch as each has done their part during this difficult journey.Especially my Mother and younger sister, who have done so much of the dirty and unsanitary chores, which I have such a difficult time in handling. There will be more thanone void. A void left bymyfather's departure, but a void intheoppurtunity to serve him as well. In that spirit, I won't to always rememberand continue in this service in other ways to others in need. Please pray for us, and especially for them..and rejoice with me as the kingdom is about to receive another redeemed life--one that wasn't perect, but well live infaithful service to his Lord and to his family---Greg

You all will be in our thoughts and prayers until it's over. We pray the Father will give you all strength to endure and wisdom to discern His will.
God bless you guys, we know it's hard.
Your friend and brother in Christ Jesus

Brother, I went through the same voids when my father was called in 1998. We had a meal together and fed the animals as well that afternoon. That night we talked on the phone and had a good laugh together (about 11:00Pm) and he went to bed. He went in his sleep about 5:00AM. He left the door unlocked and the light on in the room for me.

I sincerely know how you feel! My thoughts and prayers for all in your family.

Manuman, I want you to know that whatever differences we've had that they don't mean anything to me and I don't hold any grudges.
I truley emphathize with you as both of my parents are having major problems these days and I can see myself in your shoes in the near future. I pray that the Lord sustains you and yours during this hard time. God bless you guys and Liz and I will keep you in our prayers as well.

Thinking about you brother, God bless and hold you all up. Your comfort comes in knowing your seperation is only for a season. Chris

Greg, I've been praying for you and your Dad for a while. I feel for you brother, that it's going down this road. At least you have the peace of knowing where he's heading and that you'll see him again. We'll keep you in our prayers.
