It really doesn't have any significance that I know of other than.

You might be refering to the number 7 which in the Hebrew it means completion ?

ya i under stand the number 6 ,a mans number,an incomplete number when compared to the number 7, which means completion
and the number 666 meaning incomplete incomplete incomplete emphasizing how far he is from the perfection of god.
and the number 10 denoting fullness or entirety and 70=7x10 = complete and fullness
then a another 7 is added to 70 =77 meaning indefinitely or with out limit at least thats what i get from mat 18:22 and Gen. 4:24

herein lies my quandary to the number 77
