After 54 years of teaching she is fired!!!!

After 54 years of teachng sunday school a female is fired because she was a female. The paster said he had change his mind and said that a female must be silant.. THA LAW SUIT BEGANS, the paster is also on the board of superviser for the town. the town is up in arms over this quoted by one town menber he may run his church that way but not this town, and said it is time for him to be silent about the town. menber sued for the removel of the paster from thr town concil. they all want to have seperation of church will that is what we will give him....

Mac don't get mad i know where you stand but for me I sent them a $1000.00 check to have him remove from the town concil. This woman has tough in the same church for 54 years she must have been doing somthimk right.

Not to beat a dead horse but I think it's a shame that some people try to block God's power in women...

Froman when I went to church with my mother 40 years ago ( that is telling my age) there was a woman there that could quote the bible from front to back. As kids we had a game she would come in and we would ask her to quote a verse any verse in the bible and I have never heard her miss NEVER she never had to open her bible she had it to memmey. This woman is now 92 years old and can still do it. I know of only one man that can do that.. Thewomans name is Mrs Haff and I would take her teaching over a just about any Man. All of you think back to all the pastor of churchs you went to COULD any of the pastor do that ??

p.s as for the $1000.00 I am soeing a seed in to the body of Christ thats the way I see it.And before anybody starts I beleave that God can use any thing even a woman to spread the word of god and yes I can hear the Bible verse coming back right nowm, but you are wasting you're time...That is what I beleave.

that is REDICULOUS!!! Fireing her just because she was a women????? she's teaching Sunday School for heaven's sake!!! That really makes me sick. A women pastor is different I think, I have an opinion on that, but I dont beleive that women should be always be "silent" in church...and if they can teach the Bible to children...who cares what their sex is???

Ct from what I get she was teaching 18 to 35 year old people but that don't make a diffrents even if she was teaching 50 year old if God has lead her to teach how are we or better yet who does the pastor think he his ? If God has used her to teach for 54 years who doesthe pastor think he is, is he playing God now ? I am clad that at the end of all of this we well stand along in front of God and we along well have to explane what we have done here on this world. I beleave there well be a lot of people doing the two step at that time.

Well bro. Chuck, there's a difference between Preaching and Teaching. We as Independent Baptist allow it. My mother-in-law died at the age 92 and taught Sunday school until she was 90.

Our pastors wife conducts the ladies bible study group whichis every Tuesday for six weekstwice a year. This is not preaching, its Bible Study.Twenty five questions are listedand handed out to be answered at home. The following Tuesday they discuss everyone's answer on the questions and handed another for the following Tuesday, etc.,etc., etc.......

Women preaching, correcting the pastor or matters of the Elders is what we don't believe in. We don't allow girls, women or mento wear Tank Tops, Blouses that can be seen through, sleeveless dresses, mini skirts, shorts or T-Shirts with Alcoholic or Tobacco ads in our services or anything which is not appropriate!
