We all face trouble sooner or later, not because God does not love us, but because we are part of the human race. Perhaps today you feel like the psalmist who prayed:
"O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; For my soul is full of troubles. . ." Psalm 88:1-3
Our trials, tests and troubles can trip and tempt us to doubt and despair or they can transport us to new triumphs of faith. Trouble will either make us mad at God for permitting it or drive us to Him for sustaining grace and help. How do you respond to trouble?

Reb, I always read your "todays verse" . . . .I usually don't respond because the seemingly obligatory "good post Reb" seems to lose something in the repetition, but this is a really good post.
Some folk seem to go thru life pretty sheltered from grief, while many have lives frought with troubles.
I've seen men in the world give up over losing a job, a wife, a parent. On the other hand I know of men whose lives have been full of troubles and trauma who have been able to let Christ lift them back up over and over and put them back on the path.
I just don't know where a man can find the strength to live thru some of the knocks that life can throw at you if not for the Lord Jesus.

Brother, I don't expect anyone to reply to them! All I want for most to read them! When I post them everyone on HNI recieves it in their e-mail.To me is like passing out a tract. Some read them and some ignore them, but it gives me the feeling of working for the Lord.
Thanks for your reply!

I know you don't expect me to comment, but I am anyway......
That goes along with my devotional from yesterday.. we are going to go through the furnace. But hang in, and hold on to Jesus! And stand firm on His word, and let God do His thing and get out of His way.. Our job is only to believe..
