Default Sin!

What sin leads to death? What sin doesn't lead to death?

Not trying to make excuses for myself. Just want your thoughts.

Suicide will for sure... .. I believe that all sin willlead to death (spiritual death), but spiritual death to be more specific. Some may argue here with me, but I don't believe God kills a person due to sin, or else many of us today would not be here. But we are in danger of serious spiritual death when we don't feel God's conviction on our lives anymore and have become complacent in our sin. Then we experience spiritual death, which is worse than physical death.

Yes, sin leads to death..Paul wrote in Romans,"The wages of sin is death;"
for the Christian there is a sin unto death as seen i the following verse..

"If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it." 1 John 5:16

The "sin unto death" is deliberate, willful, continuous, unrepentant sin. God, in His grace, allows His children to sin without immediately punishing them. However, there comes a point when God will no longer allow a believer to continue in unrepentant sin. When this point is reached, God sometimes decides to punish a Christian, even to the point of taking his or her life.

Moses was put to death for his sin yet is soul was saved..Deut.34:4-6 -Uzza was struck dead for his sin yet he was saved.2 Samuel 6:7 - the Christians in Corinth. committed the sin unto death 1 Corin. 11:30-32..

Any and all sin leads to death.

Of course, the sins that remain no more, washed away by the blood of Jesus, do not account for death...but then again, they are non-existent.

The Sin of death is the Sin committed by our forefather Adam.

Death means separation, Physical death separates you from your love ones, spiritual death separates you from God, which is what happened to Adam.
The second death is the worse because it will separate you from God.

So literally we die twice if we don't believe in Christ, physically and spiritually.

Through Christ we have conquered the second death(Spiritual death) In the Kingdom the first death(physical death) will also be conquered because Christ already conquered that.

Shalom

"no sin is greater than another". I pray to the Good Lord every night to forgive me of the sins of which I have committed, but Jesus died for my sins, and all y'all's. Stay true to God, becausehe'll always be true to you

Quote:
Matthew 12:31 "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
I've always understood this to be the one sin that God will not forgive. Why this one in particular? I think if you look at the preceding verses in this passage, we get a very good understanding of why........

Quote:
Matthew 12:22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and[e] mute man both spoke and saw. 23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" 24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub,[f] the ruler of the demons." 25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can one enter a strong man"s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

I believe the reason this is the unforgiveable sin is because to commit it, one has to not believe in the Spirit at all. If you deny the Spirit, you deny the Father.....therefore you deny Jesus. To deny Jesus is to put yourself out of the redeeming nature of His shed blood.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

I've purposely left this alone. I'm counting on God's mercy and grace to see me through.

The circumstances in Matt.12:31-32 cannot be duplicated today. The Pharisees had seen proof of Christ's deity. But instead of acknowledging God, they credited the supernatural power to Satan instead of the work of the Holy Spirit.
Christ is not in the world as He was then. Although the Holy Spirit still does supernatural things through His servants, they are merely representatives of the King. The circumstances of Matthew 12 make it impossible for this sin to take place today. This incident, I might add, is the only one in which a sin is declared unforgivable. The Bible states, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved No invitation to salvation carries with it an exception clause, "unless you have committed the unpardonable sin."
No matter how evil our sins, there is pardon for them. God forgave David for his adultery, dishonesty, and murder Simon Peter's denial of our Lord accompanied by profanity was forgiven The apostle Paul was forgiven for his merciless persecution of Christians Just about every possible sin is listed somewhere in the New Testament. And every one of them can be forgiven..
From the day Jesus went to the cross there is no unpardonable sin, but there is an unpardonable state"the state of continued unbelief. There is no pardon for a person who dies in unbelief. there is no doubt many a person has gone to hell because they believed they couldn't be forgiven.. the thief on the cross is in heaven today because he was forgiven in the last moments of his life..
