I am praying about this decision I need to make. God I am sure wont give me a stright "yes" or "no". How do I know if I should go ahead or not? What I am praying about is should I go ahead tell this good friend of mine how I feel about her.

You can pray about this if you like, but there's no need to pray about it.Tell her. Examine for just a minute what you're wondering about. Are you concerned that by telling her how you feel, you will cause her to not believe in God? If your concern is any other than this, then instead pray for God to help you find the words to say, or the timing that will give you the best chance of telling her without making her feel put on the spot. I'd also offer a bit of advice. If you are having doubts about whether you should reveal your feelings about her or not, I'd say that she's already been giving you subtle clues as to her feeling as well. Ask God to help you be perceptive enough to read these clues. If you are already friends, she will let you know she is in favor of progressing the friendship to something else. Take some time and see if you can pick these clues up.
Or, just realize that she either wants to be more than friends, or she doesn't. There's no harm in telling her your feelings....just be ready for her answer. It might be the greatest thing you ever did, or it could be a huge disappointment. Either way, the odds of you finding out by hiding your feelings are next to none. Get it out and then deal with the situation.
I'll keep you in my prayers.

If you mean an audible answer..your probably right. However; the God I serve communicates with me. I think it's good that you want God's will with even something as simple as talking with a girl. You sound a little like me. Although I lived in the partying world I stayed girlfriend free and was a virgin until I became a Christian. I wanted a girlfriend but was too scared of being rejected. My friend..when I fell in love with Jesus and engulfed myself in the Word of God the girls came. God knows your desires. But be careful. The very first church service I attended after I was born again I was ask out by a beautiful girl. After talking with her for 10 minutes I realized God did not send her. The wrong women can destroy your life my friend. God's Word promices us if we will...
Proverbs 37:4Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. The Lord speaks to us through our conscience....but ..a conscience that has been renewed by the Word of God. The world listens to their conscience ,and it is leading them to Hell. The Christain fills his/ her mind with God 's Word so they may know what God's will is. God speaks to me all day. For me..I hear Him best when I purpose to keep still and only speak when necessary.Romans 12:12And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
How do I know if I should go ahead or not? When you are filled with God's Word my friend you will have no doubt in what to do. YOU are puttign th ecart before the horse. God is not a majic lamp or something . He is real . To communicate with HIm starts with faith. ..and Faith comes from..
Romans 10:17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
What I am praying about is should I go ahead tell this good friend of mine how I feel about her.
There is nothing wrong with talking to a girl ......but the best thing you can do is read the entire New Testament as soon as possible. There are 260 chapters. If you read 10 chapters a day you would be done in 26 days. Do this my friend and you will be a changed man. Guaranteed.

Deerhunter, you must first remember that God's Will, will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven. All of our plights are guided by God's Purpose. For example, I was purposed by God to meet my wife when we were little children, which evolved into a faithful marriage, with many children.
However, at the time I married my wife, I was living asa pagan, and so was she. We never prayed for each other, for at that time we did not know how. However, because we were Purposed to become Children of God, and to be Husband and Wife, we were joined in His Presence, whether we recognized Him back then, or not.
What I am saying is, is that God hears the needs of His Children before they ever pray for them. Today I recognize the worth of my Wife, and thank God for her, but looking back I never did, yet I am amazed at how God knew I needed this woman to become one flesh, a picture of His union with the Church.
God does not commune with people through dreams, visions, thoughts, or signs to guide us to do the right thing, for His People are already predestined to do His Will. While many are decieved into looking for a sign, I would suggest simply waiting on God, as He commands. If it be God's Will that a relationship should grow in your life, then it will happen, despite the things that seem opposed to it.

Grasshopper13 I dont know about that what you said. Are you saying I am having these feelings because she has feelings for me. There are times I do feel she is interest in me more then a friend. But then again I have had this happen to me in the past. Some were interested others werent. This girl we are good friends just dont want to lose that if I told her how I felt. I need to tell her I can stop thinking about her.

What I'm saying is, she could very well be trying to let you know that she either feels as you do, or that she doesn't. I'm not sure how old you are, but I seem to remember that you are younger than me....I'm 31 and old as it were.Have you ever been around someone who has tried to influence you? Often when this happens, they won't come right out and tell you what they want you to do. Many times, they'll make comments that aren't really clear, in an effort to see how you react. I remember in High school, my buddy secretly liked a girl. He didn't really know what his friends would think if he ended up dating this girl, so he was a bit unsure of whether he should pursue her. ( peer pressure stinks). So, instead of just asking us what we thought about her, he would say things when she was around. "What do you think about freckles on a girl?" Given that she had some freckles, he would mentally guage the observations of his buddies to see what they might think of her if they were an item. After a while, and many comments like that when she was around, it became clear to me that he liked her. So, I asked him about her. As soon as he was sure that I wasn't going to tell him she wasn't good enough, or eww she's gross, something like that, he opened up to me that he did like her. I thought it was great, and to help the process along like any good buddy, I went and talked to her. It turned out that she was interested in another. In fact she had known he had feelings for her, and she had tried to discourage him by always being with other girls when he was around. She would kind of laugh itoffwhen he madejoking attempts about them dating etc. She went so far as to try and bring up the guy she liked whenever he started doing those kind of things. He simply didn't want to take the hints she was giving him. Persistance did pay off for him though. They ended up dating for awhile after we went to college. On the other hand, there was this girl I really liked my freshman year in high school. I was too shy to talk to her unless it was at one of our basketball games, or if she happened to show up at one of my baseball games and there was a large group around. She never showed any interest in me other than a casual aquaintance. So, I forgot about it. In fact, I dated her older sister about a year later for a bit. After we broke up, the younger sister started "bumping" into me in the halls as we passed going to classes. She would always laugh, and go on. It got to be a regular thing. I thought she was just being silly, so I just played along. Then she started stacking books in my locker. I'd "bump" into her and then she'd go down the hall a ways and wait. I'd open my locker and all my books would fall out. I figured it was one of my buddies and after a round of cursing them loudly ( I wasn't a christian then) I'd notice her laughing as she turned to walk away. In the end, I still was too thick to get the hint. One day after school, we were lifting before basketball practice. My best friend and I were doing squats with free weights when this girl's friend showed up in the door to the weight room.
She watched us lift for abit and then out of the blue she just asked me, " What do you think about Andrea?" I was in the middle of a rep and replied, " She's a pest!" Her friend said," Well do you think you'd like to go out with her Saturday?" I was so surprised that I almost slipped in the middle of a squat. My buddy Chris cracked up. He started laughing at me saying " you didn't have a clue did you?" Nope. I thought she was pretty, so I said sure. I even remember that when we out to run before practice that day she threw a dodgeball at me. Hit me right square in the back! I turned around and said, " You keep doing that and I'm wearing armorwhen we go out." She just giggled and ran off. We've been married for 11 years.
My point is this: if you don't have a buddy that can help you out with this, do it yourself. She either likes you or she doesn't. If you haven't been able to figure it out, maybe you're as oblivious as I was.
Tell her and know that no matter what, you'll have it off your chest.
