Default Name it and Claim it!

Has anyone heard this before? I have read a little book by Norvell Hayes and he mentions the "Name it and Claim it" group. From what he said, a lot of people disagree with the ability to "name it and claim it".

DK, In my opinion these prosperity teachers can't rightly divide the word of truth enough to be behind a pulpit. They are liars that present their theories as absolute biblical authority. The only time they approach the bible from a literal standpoint is if it fits in with something they just happen to be saying that is true.

ilisten tomen that you I guess would call "prosperity teachers" and i don't think they are liars. when i hear a man of God preach or teach blessings and prosperity, quoting the Bible, i am not going to call them a liar. I believe there is more to being a Christian than just salvation. Prosperity and blessings is part of it too.

Thats why we have so many false Christians claiming to know Jesus. They figure if they say the right prayer, or walk the right ailse, or buy the latest "how to get saved" manuel, or dvd , they will get the big house, the tricked out ride, and the hot wife, and perfect health. Satan is the ultimatedeciever.

Any prosperity or blessing that I may recieve, I give credit to the Lord for. But this "name it and claim it" movement teaches that faith is a matter of what we say more than whom we trust or what truths we embrace and affirm in our hearts. The term "positive confession" refers to the teaching that words have creative power. What you say, Word-Faith teachers claim, determines everything that happens to you. Your "confessions," that is, the things you say . . .especially the favors you demand of God . . must all be stated positively and without wavering. Then God is required to answer. This is like an incantation by which they can conjure up anything they desire: "Believe it in your heart; say it with your mouth. That is their principle of faith. You can have what you say

and it is no different than the false doctine of losing ones salvation based on what one says, and does that you teach. Again pot, you are as black as the kettle you point your finger at,

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so that none of us can boast about it.

May I point out another thing. The blessings and prosperity that I speak of are sited in the Bible. I'm not meening that I can demand anything of God that is not of God or in His will. For instance, speaking a $100 bill into my wallet right now.

Now that I am a blood bought, born again, child of God and I believe the Holy Bible, then I can speak and believe that I will receive what I ask for.

1 John 5:14-15
(14) And we can be confident that He will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. (15) And if we know that He is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for.
