The saying of "Peace and security!" thus comes just before the "sudden destruction" of the world empire of false religion, which empire is called "Babylon the Great" in Bible prophecy. (Rev. 17:5) She also is spoken of as "the great harlot . . . with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication." (Rev. 17:1, 2) But, ironically, many of these "kings of the earth" who were once the harlot"™s "˜lovers"™ will turn against her, for we are told: "These will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.""”Rev. 17:16.

Why such a severe judgment upon this world"™s religious system? God"™s Word answers: "For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven." (Rev. 18:5) Among these sins is this: "In her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth." (Rev. 18:24) While not teaching her followers the truth about God and his laws, worldly religion has become involved in wars that have resulted in the slaughter of hundreds of millions of people down through the centuries. Too, false religion has taken the lead in persecuting God"™s true servants. (Luke 11:47-51; Rev. 17:6) So, directly or indirectly, by what she has done or has failed to do, Jehovah holds "Babylon the Great" responsible for the blood of "all those who have been slaughtered on the earth."

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

What institution calls itself the mother church?
What church has itsleaders wearing purple and scarlet?






Rev 17:6


And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

What church was responsible for the deaths of millions of believers during the times of the inquisition?

And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. are seven The seven heads mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

What city is called the city of seven hills? It is Rome






Rev 17:10

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.




Rev 17:11

And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.




Rev 17:12

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.




Rev 17:13

These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.




Rev 17:14

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.




Rev 17:15

And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.




Rev 17:17

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.




Rev 17:18


And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

What city ruled over the know world when this was written? Answer again is Rome.

Now let us divide the word correct, The verse says When they say Peace and security, then sudden destruction will come.

The verse does not say , when they say we have peace and security.

So those words of peace and security are being said right now, since Bush began with the "roap to peace Map" That has being the goal peace and security for Israel and we have seen it was a total failure, Israel took great risks by giving their land to terrorists and brought them closer to Israeli cities, so now we see the results, Destruction on both sides and it is not over yet.

i remember when i was just a child reading that scripture and thinking ,no one talks like that ,that will never happen .and then just recently i herd it
on the news from the UN ,let me tell ya it got my attention.

ya Rome does hold a heavy responsibility but its not just Rome . please remember you must worship god in the manner thatgod will except or it is to no one that your honer is going .
