Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
2Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. When I first started studing the bible and read scriptures like this I struggled with them in my heart. Why would God kill those infants and sucklings to? I now believe that was God's way of saving them. Or when it took 430 years before Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Did it take that long to get them ready or had the sins of the people in the promise land stacked up til God said that is enough. I feel it could be a combination of both. I kinda of look at the world today is similar. It took 2000 plus years to get Gods people ready and the worlds sins have stacked up til God said that is enough.
