The scripture specifies: "Every creature that splits the hoof and forms a cleft in the hoofs and chews the cud among the beasts, that is what you may eat." (Le 11:3) And again: "You must eat no detestable thing of any sort. This is the sort of beast that you may eat: the bull, the sheep and the goat, the stag and gazelle and roebuck and wild goat and antelope and wild sheep and chamois; and every beast that splits the hoof and that forms a cleft into two hoofs, chewing the cud among the beasts.""”De 14:3-6
A goat is clean for certain sacrifices and for eating , but no clean (Kosher, Allowed, prescribed) in the Passover sacrifice, it must be a lamb.
My problem is when I think in Hebrew and write in english, LOL ,then I say Uncleaned thinking in the word Kosher (Clean, allow, Prescribed).
Jesus is the passover Lamb (General Atonement) for the sins of the World, also called the Lamb slayed from the beginning of the World, Not the Goat slayed from the beginning of the world.
The goat was allowed for certain sins and debts but to the poor as it had much less value than a lamb.
Sorry if I confused you.

yeah ok with the lamb but back to the goat.
The offering of both the bullock and Jehovah"™s goat as atonement sacrifices pictures the one purpose of Jesus in the earth as the ransom although for two different groups, whereas the sending away of the goat "for Aza´zel" pictures his other purpose in the earth, namely, in connection with the vindication of Jehovah"™s name. In the type two goats were needed because it would not be possible to kill Jehovah"™s goat as an atonement and yet keep it alive to picture God"™s further purpose with Christ Jesus. It was for this reason that the two goats were to be as nearly alike as possible, because, in order to picture the two aspects of Jesus"™ one death in the reality, it was necessary to employ the two goats in the type. Further, the casting of the lots shows that while the two goats were actually equal they illustrate the twofold ministry of Jesus in that his offering possesses life merit and that he can serve to answer Satan"™s challenge.
