Default cell phones

recieved this email, thought ya'll might enjoy

Subject: CELL PHONE'S AND THE BIBLE

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones.

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we turned back to go get it if we for got it?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it as we traveled?

What if we used it in case of an emergency?

This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we dont ever have to worry about our bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!

Unlike cell phones, the Word of God is written on the hearts of His Children, and with them constantly.

Well brother, let us hear every word that Jesus spoke in the bible, since it is written in your heart you should know that by heart and don't need a bible! Post away!

Excellentthought Keith. When I was first a Christian I carried my New Testament everywhere. Lately I've been getting too busy. Thanks fro the heads up. I plan to start carrying mine again today. My job situation has gotten tough and my boys are not doing their best either. I may even go to the Bible store and pick up one of those nice slim leather ones.

mthands, I love it! I think I'm going to be putting that in the church bulletin sometime soon.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Gladly.....Jesus said that He loved His People soo much that He Chose them out of death, and made an Eternal Home, and Life for them, because it pleased Him to do so. He said His Choice had nothing to do with anything they did, said, or desired, but rather that the Choice was made in Eternity past, and nothing could change it. Those who have that knowledge are the Children of God, blessed with His Spiritual Wisdom. All the rest are wayward children, searching for salvation with their works, desires, and human wisdom, which will end in sadness.

So what you are telling meis that you are one of the chosen and no matter what you do or say on earth, you have salvation no matter what! You personallycannot stumble or fall. Come on Holier than Thou, get off your Black Horse!!!

No, what Jesus is saying is that neither angels, principalities, powers, the things present, nor the things to come will seperate me from Him. He also said that no height, nor depth, nor any creature {including a black horse} could come between us. In fact He said that not even death could seperate me, because I am His Child. However, I do understand that you think you can fall, but that has no bearing on me, and my people and our stability in His Grace.

So answer my question! Your belief is you can commit adultery, murder, steal, have lust and incest, because youare one of the chosen and can never Fall or Stumble!

So answer my question!

Gladly........

"""For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."""

There is your answer, but I doubt you will understand it.
