I was born and raised on a farm and I always liked to see a well kept fence row..there's something to be said about a man who will maintains straight posts and tight barbed wire,(bob-wahr to some) I've mended a lot of fence rows in my 77 years on this ole earth..Sometimes those posts will rot out or the wire will rust and break..when this happens we need to do some mending.
We need to examine the fence rows in our lives.. Ya know sometimes they need mending too..I know in the last fewmonths i have found some of my posts leaning and the wire starting to rust so i have been mending them..You would think at 77 years of age and after serving the Lord for many years, that i could just find my valley of self-content and sit back on my seat of do nothing and that would be ok..not so, no matter how old we are or what shape we are in, there is something we can do to serve the Lord.
Jesus said in Matt.5:23-24,"Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that that thy brother have ought against thee, leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."
ya know i learned that having ought or anything,against someone or vise versa, can act on a person the same way rot works on a fence post..it starts small but silently grows until you are of no use..it just hangs there letting the wires hold it up..dear friends, we need more making up and mending in our churches.
Ephesians 4:26-27 tells us."Be ye angry and sin not, let not the sun go down on thy wrath, neither give place to the devil."
anger destroys unless it is controlled. many a home and many a church have been wrecked because anger has been left to fester. a wife won't talk to her husband and he won't talk to her, one denomination is mad at the other, one part of the church is mad at the other, dividing into clicks that pull and tear as much as the tree gowing in the fence row..if this is allowed it will tear apart the Family of Christ..
Let us all make it our business to examine our fences daily..ya know Christ will keep them straight if we just let him..a fallen fence will let the old devil in togo abouthis evil ways..

I also would like to say that there is no one here that loves and respects the Sweet Holy Spirit any more than i do and i would never blaspheme him in any way.. and if the gentleman that accused me of that sin would read my post and think about it he would see his error..

Bro, I too have spent many a day on a set of post hole diggers. I've also cleaned more fence rows than I can remember. One thing I know is that its easier to keep a fence row clear than it is to clear one that is overgrown.
