Here is a nice tilapia {Nile Perch} I caught this morning.Just under 5 pounds. This is the main food caught from the Sea of Galilee. In Israel it's called St. Peter's Fish.

this is a nile perch, a different fish than the Tilapia.the record is 200plus pounds, caught in Egypt

Not, This is a nile catfish, I caught many of those.
The Nile Perch are a totally different species and it is in teh Chiiliad family, the world record is 230 LBS as shown in this pic.

Chucks seems to be a cuban Chilliad called a "viajaca" some have being caught in Florida.

Yeah, when I was in Israel they served us pan fried tilapia in olive oil with garlic. Here is a picture of my fish in Israel.Wow!!I hope I didn't just butcher a record catch.It took me about 2 mnutes to bring her in.I thought I had a decent sized bass.
