Thanks Reb . . .Cali was nice, the weather was cool the whole time I was there. Lots of good food . . . .my favorite being at a little taqueria I found in Santa Cruz . . .man I gave that place some business. Other than that we visited with family and went to San Francisco to the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, and China Town[] . .once is enough. I wanted to go to Berkley and Hieght Ashbury (sp?), but did'nt.
We did go to Yosemite and had a really good time, . .beautiful there. All and all it was a good trip except for the traffic. I'm glad I live in Mississippi.

That's sounds great!! Man, Alcatraz? Did you see any of the ghostsof Al Capone, Baby Face Nelson, Bird man of Alcatraz or Dillinger?

I like San Francisco. Did you go to the Italian section towards the fish docks, what they call "Embarcadero"?Wow, Yosemite? I bet that was fun. Did you go to the Continental Divide?

Well, so glad to hear all went good and safe! You and Lizzie always have the Lord to guide and Shepperd you!

Having lived just south of S.F. most of my life, I agree that once is enough for a lot of those places. It's funny how everyone from somewhere else always complains about the traffic. Unless they're from New York or L.A.!

You didn't miss anything by not going to Berkley. The Haight is not what it used to be. In fact, you must have been only a couple of blocks from it at one time or another. You would not have noticed it unless someone pointed it out to you. Even the wannabe hippies don't really hang out there anymore.

Yosemite is the best Ca. has to offer. I go at least twice a year.

By the way, no one in Ca. calls it "Cali" anymore!

Hey Bro. Reb, yes we did drive through Embarcadero. It smelled so good! We wanted to stop and get something to eat but we were headed toward the Bay Bridge and could not find a place to park. San Francisco is definitely a place I will not miss! I hate the small closed in streets. What a relief to be back on the Mississippi roads!

El Gallo, the traffic difference is kinda funny to me. When I lived in California I remembered getting behind drivers from Oregon and Washington thinking "man, these slow pokes need to speed it up or get out of the way!", then I moved to Washington and got used to the slower pace and wider clean streets and whenever I visited California, people behind me were wanting me to speed up or get out of the way. Lol, I wonder what they think now that I've slowed down even more to Mississippi pace!
