just heard an analogy on belief or faith that i thought was pretty good and wanted to share it
A man is going to walk a tightrope atop a barrel, if you belive he can do it, you will watch him. If you have faith he can do it, you will get in the barrel.

IMO, getting into the barrel is faith in action, the kind of faith that one must have to please God. The bible speaks of not being a hearer only, but a doer of the word.
