i am not nearly as well versed or as knowledgable of the bible as some others that visit this forum. I was wondering if anyone could direct me in the bible or if there is such a place that speaks of the extremist, maybe a warning of the people with wrong interpretation of the book. any help would be nice. I dont even know if there is anything about this. And the reason i ask is because i have met someone who speaks directly from the book in all his words, only i believe his interpretation may be off course. To tell you the truth he scares the hell out of me when hespeaks and i am kinda worried for the people that have clung to what he says, this scares me because he seems to lead an angry life and does not have much serenity though he says he does, and someone that i care for dearly has taken to his word and in a very short time has become an angry person and seems have lost something. though they say they have it all now. and that his word has brought them to a better understanding. I find this hard to believe asthey are now hurting the people around them and dont see it.

There are many places in the bible that warn about False Prophets ,false teachers in the last days.
If someone scares you when interpreting the word ,then it is not of God.
The word of God is for the purpose of conviction not to cause fear.
Fear is not Of The spirit of God.
Be Careful, f you don't feel right around this person ,it might be the Holy Spirit warning you.
Shalom

There are several verses saying that there will be false teachers preaching the wrong gospel
1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 2 Peter 2:1-3 KJV.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry 2 Timothy 41-5
---------------------------------------------------------------------
6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:6-9

G5 motor did nail it with scripture and Alex nailed it with the Spirit speaking to you.
There are and have been many who have used scripture to bend the truth, scripture needs to be taken as a whole in order to understand the whole message.
Scripture used in bits and pieces can be used to promote almost anything.

G5, do not be soo fast to judge your friend. The fact is, the Bible tells us that "fear" is a reaction when one becomes a Christian, and hears solid preaching, as is stated in Acts 3:43. In a world full of watered down preaching, designed to be warm, and fuzzy, and pack stadiums, areana's, and church pews on sunday morning, it's only natural to be fearful of someone who is using the Bible to preach. Could it seem angry?. Well, when Paul was calling the Corinithians perverts, and the Galatians fools, it could have seemed harsh, but it wasn't.
Is your friend openly denying Jesus as Lord?. What about his teaching, or preaching bothers you? Could you be mistaking being convicted by his comments, as him being wrong in his comments? Human pride is a powerful force, and it stands between many a man, and sound teaching. Whenever I hear teaching that sounds off base, I first try and make sure I am not responding to it out of dislike for what is being said, but rather I try and respond to using the Scriptures as my measure to evaluate it. If your friend is openly ignoring Scripture, your beef is legit, but if he is in line with Scripture, you need to rethink your approach, and your motives.
i think the line that has helped me the most would be
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangalist, make proof of thy ministry.
See it is not only his words that have made me fearful, more so the way he acts in his daily life. It seems that he doesnt walk the path he speaks of.This makes me think of hidden motives. I can take to this man as he is one of gods children but at this point in my life i believe i need to keep my distance to keepmy own salvation on the right path. Thanks again for showing me what i needed to see
