2. Parents who supported me.
3. By reading AR books. one boy read96 books.AR ..Accelerated Reading books.
4. By keeping me healthy and giving me ideas for the slower kids.
5. By you who have sent a word of encouragement for the day. That helps more than you can imagine.
6. By giving me favor with the principal.
7. For my wife who did all my copying and computer stuff.
Well,
I appreciate that Leaf but actually we are one big team. From the maintenance man that replaced the bathroom windows shot out with the BB guns to the bus drivers who get those kids to school. We are all a team and I need to remember that. Also the variable can change . Some teachers can get slower kids than others. Although our government has gone to stats and gains I shouldn't let myself get snared into the pride of numbers. I was sincere when I thanked you for your reply. I'm trying hard to mature in this area. As a Christian it's really supposed to be about edifying others and not yourself. I'm sure with some thought I could have reworded my post alot differently. Deep down you and I know we are zero apart from Christ. So many times I forget where I would be at without Him. It really is all about Him.

Well you have to care Chuck, and you obviously must with the results your getting. So many teachers don't really care, or they may care but not enough to apply themselves. I really appreciate the folk that do the hard things, our district super, our principles, and some school board members. These folk have got to work with the state and fed regs and implement them in our schools, push the teachers, and be accountable. Then we have teachers that really care and put their all into their students, giving their time and then some and very often coming out of pocket to do so, dealing with overcrowding, tight budgets, and what seems like unreal bencmarks.
Our school systym is now installing long overdue security cameras in all schools. Soon we will have them in every classroom. I'm hoping that this will lessen dicipline referals and increase productivity among the slackers.
Next yr we have a family that is very active against prayer, or anything to do with christian religion, enrolling kids in our middle school. They are openly satanists, so it will be interesting to see how this will be dealt with, as our school systym, as far as I can tell is unusual in that we don't really walk on eggshells to the extent other systyms do concerning christian religion.
Yr by yr however there is more and more of an increase in drug abuse, violence, homosexuality, etc, in our schools. Folk within and without the schools are going to have to be prayer warriors and pro active concerning these things. IMO, soon, and very soon, teachers will have to be a very special breed to really have an impact on our kids.

I like this idea pretty good. We have slackers in our school and it kills the rest of us. The behavior is horrible. I got blessed this year with not so bad kids butI witness some terrible stuff daily. Students can now curse teachers out and scream in their face and get away with it. Twelve principals quit this year and our school is interviewing 3 men now. I learned something last week from a maintenance man. I used to be a maintenance man Leaf in D.C. in an apartment complex. Anyway a student pulled the complete toilet off the floor. He broke the flange. The man fixed it very fast. I ask him how he fixed it that fast. I learned {As you probably already know} they make a special piece of metal that goes inside the groove of the flange to keep fromreplacing it. Petty neat. I hate replacing flanges.
